Stampalicious - Recycle challenge

Happy Boxing Day everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.

Today's challenge over at Totally Stampalicious is to recycle it - find something that is laying around the house or even pull it out of the trash "ewwww" and use it on your card or project.
I used a piece of cardboard that one of my Christmas gifts came in and the wheels on Gus's new truck are from tags that came on some clothing I purchased. The image and sentiment are from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo line - called New Truck Gus.

This is also for the featured stamper challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. I cased this cute card of Leisa Janes.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious - make sure to up load your card/project on Mr. Linky. We would love to see what you made.

Totally Stampalicious - It's all FAUX fun

Merry Christmas -I hope you are better prepared for Christmas than I am - I have been running around in circles for days. Each year I seem to be more and more disorganized than ever. I am very pleased with myself - I did manage to get a big project finished yesterday with some help from my DH. We made Calendars for our parents - using assorted pictures from our Spain trip. Anyways - enough of that. Onto today's fun challenge at TS.

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge - this week we have been asked to "FAKE IT" (ie: faux stitching, faux brads, faux metal, faux wood, faux linen etc). I used the "faux stitching" and "faux brad" techniques on my card. The "Snowmen" are from the Totally Stampalicious "Snowmen" set. I stamped the snowman once, masked it, and then stamped snowmen again. I stamped the scarfs on a textured acrylic paper and coloured with Stampin Up "more mustard" and "soft suede" markers. Pierced holes and attached the mini black brads. Faux stitched around image. I cut a strip of Kraft card stock and scored lines every 1/4 inch. Rubbed chocolate chip ink over raised ridges. Matted all panels with gemstone black card stock. Attached the Faux brads with pop dots. Used a felt Dollar Store snowflake, added Dazzling Diamonds to the snowflake, their Halo"s, the ground and some to the sky (falling snowflakes). Designer paper is from K&Company - Yuletide mat pack.

Check out what the other TS DT members have come up with to inspire you. If you make a card/project make sure to upload it to Mr. Linky from you Blog or Gallery.

This card will also work for a challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers - the Technique challenge TLC304, issued by Joan Ervin - to do Faux or Real stitching on your card.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Hugs.. Patricia Rose

Oh Christmas Tree

Happy Sunday everyone.... Time is sure flying by -- only 6 more sleeps until Christmas. I am running around in circles -- trying to get everything ready. Still trying to get the last of my Christmas card finished, only a few more to go.

I made this cute House Mouse card for several challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers. The featured stamper challenge is one of my favourite challenges. Mary Rose (aka maryrose) has the honour this week. I chose to case this cute CAS card "Mackinac Inspired". I loved the layout and her awesome colouring.

This is also for the Ways to Use it #WT301 - use glitter/sparkle, the Technique challenge TLC304 - faux or real sewing and for this months Fan Club theme - be inspired by music -
"Oh Christmas Tree"

I used this adorable House Mouse image called "Mice Star". I coloured the image with water colour pencil crayons and reinkers. Water coloured over the image again using Champagne Shimmer paint. Added Diamond Stickles to the felt snowflake and to every other snowflake on the K&Company Yuletide Designer paper.

Stampalicious - Party like a Rock Star

Happy Tuesday everyone... I made this for several challenges. Totally Stampalicious's challenge this week is to keep it CLEAN AND SIMPLE. I used the Sketch layout for Splitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple challenge #CAS97 and the colours are from today's Colour challenge #CC301 - concord crush, marina mist, basic grey and neutrals of choice. PLUS this is for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday challenge #MMTPT124 - Boisterous Bree, you're the next star of GLEE.
I will be sending this card off to a 15 1/2 year old girl named "Abby". Abby loves music, dancing and the TV show "Glee". Abby is going through aggessive Chemo treatments and we are sending our cards off to boost her spirits.

House Mouse Gift Tags

Hello Peeps.... I made 4 sets of eight House Mouse tags to give to some girlfriends tonight. These girlfriends and I have known each other for about 45 years - we played on the same fastball team since we were 8 - 9 years old (I played ball for 35 years and some of the girls are still playing) and have kept in touch all these years. We meet every couple of months for dinner and to get caught up on each others lives. Tonight we are having a dinner and gift exchange - we were to make our gift or to purchase something that was handmade and under $10.00. I thought a set of gift tags would be perfect for the gift exchange -- hope the girls like them.

Thanks for looking,
Hugs.. Pat

Stampalicious challenge - Clean and Simple

Happy Monday everyone - it's time for another Totally Stampalicous challenge. We know that most of you are very busy at this time of year, so we are keeping it simple this week. We want to see your CLEAN AND SIMPLE cards. Which means to keep your layers and embellishments down to a minimum ( I find this very hard to do), often leaving lots of "White" space.

For the card above I used "Christmas JJ". I love this cute stamp set - it comes with two image an sentiments.

For the card below I used "New Truck Gus". I love the set as well - it comes with four humours sentiments and the one image - it is very easy to colour, and makes for some very fun masculine cards.

I stamped both of the images with Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured images. With the New Truck Gus card, I masked the image and then sponged in the sky and ground.

I hope you will come and join us over at Totally Stampalicious - check out what the other DT members have come up with to inspire you. If you join us - make sure to upload your card to Mr. Linky to your blog or gallery.

Also - Totally Stampalicious is on the lookout for Guest Designers and they'll be making their selection from all the people that play in the challenges.

My "New Truck Gus" card also works for the Technique Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers
#TLC303 - sponging.

Wishing you a Peaceful Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday everyone... Here is a card I made for one of my favourite challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers - the Featured Stamper challenge. Today Lisa (aka LisaADD) has been given this honour. I chose to case this CAS Christmas card called " Just a little Christmas Note". I love Chickadee's - we have them feeding in our backyard feeders right now.

This bird image is from "My Heart Stamps for You" - Plate #162. I water coloured them image, clear embossed the ornament and added Diamond Stickles to the snow. I dotted the bg with glue and applied the glitter for falling snow. Matted image and white base panel with chocolate chip. Sewed edges with brown thread. Stamped sentiment with versafine onyx black ink and clear embossed. Image panel is popped up. This was a fairly quick card for me to make :)

Two more Christmas cards finished :)

Hope you are all having a wonderful week... Time is sure flying by, Christmas will be here before we know it... I am busy trying to get a few more Christmas cards done.

The stamp I used on the first card is from Hero Arts - called "Collage Merry and Bright" - I really like this image and it is quick and easy to use... I stamped it with Versafine black ink and clear embossed. I stamped the kraft base card with Stampin Up's sanded backgrounder and clear embossed. Matted the image with red and black. Sewed the edges. The strip of dp is from K&Company - Yuletide pack. Sponged all edges. Assembled card and tied on ribbon...

I love these adorable little House Mouses - this image is called 'Peppermint Pals". I coloured image with watercolour pencil crayons and the used Champagne shimmer paint to paint over top of image with aquapainter. I finally used my Martha Stewart candy border punch.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas

Happy Tuesday everyone.... We are having a very wet, windy day here on the west coast... It is another inside day today, I am hoping to get more of my Christmas cards done and mailed out and possibly start some Christmas baking.

Here is a card I made for several challenges - Mothermark's Teapot challenge #MMTPT123, Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge #300 - and we are to pick one of the previous challenges - I chose CC245 - Always artichoke, real red and chocolate chip - my desert option is "charms".

This is also for the House Mouse Monday challenge #84 - Christmas theme and to use a charm on your card. And for my layout I used Midnight Madnesses sketch #MMSC84.
This sweet image is from Stampabilities - House Mouse - Peppermint Pals. Image was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossed on water colour paper. I coloured the image with water colour pencil crayons - I painted the image with Stampin Up champagne shimmer mist to give it a shimmer. Wrap It Up - Stampalicious Style

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious Blog challenge. It's Christmas time and that means (for most of us crafters anyways) that we are scrambling to get those last-minute hand-made gifts done. So now is your chance. Today we have been asked to "Wrap it Up"- to make a gift box, bag topper, gift basket - what ever you are putting a gift in.

Here is my take on the challenge. I wrapped up a tin of yummy English Toffee Cappuchinno hot beverage drink mix. The image and sentiment are from the "Attitude Ruby" set - a newly released stamp set in the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line.

I stamped the image using Versafine onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured image with Tombow Markers. Made it into a tag. Punched out the flowers using a Sizzex flower die, embossed the flowers with Swiss Dot EF. Stamped the sentiment and punched it out. Glued it to the flower center.

I hope you will join us over at the TS Blog. Check out what the other talented DT members have come up with to inspire you. If you do join us, make sure to leave us a link to your blog or gallery on Mr. Linky....

We are getting ready for another release

I stamped the image three times. Twice onto water colour paper and once onto the "Amuse" checked designer paper. I coloured the Santa list on the bottom image and only her head on the other. Cut out the coloured head, and from the dp stamped image her headband and pj's. On the pj's I used a SU Regal Rose marker and a white gel pen to colour part of the collar and zipper and pockets, plus the headband was coloured with Regal Rose marker. I cut out a piece of dp for the floor and drew in some lines with a Prisma colour pencil crayon and smudge the lines to make it look like a hardwood floor. Willameana's head and pj's are popped up. I added the little flower rhinestones to her headband and to the little wooden Teddy bears belly. Added Fruit Punch Stickles her collar, pockets, headband and to the trees on the DP. The designer paper is from My Minds Eye - Colourful Christmas.

Below is a card I made for today's CAS sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. The mug and sentiment are from Totally Stampalicious's "Coffee Brawd" set. Totally Stampalicious Challenge - Monochromatic Blues

Happy Monday everyone. It's time for another "Totally Stampalicious" Challenge - this week we are to make a card/project using all different shades of Blues.

This week Totally Stampalicous has an announcement. Two "Guest Designers" have been chosen for the next two releases. The guest designer for November is:

Wahoo, Congratulations Joanne we are so happy to have you on board...

And now for the January Guest Designer:
Yippee, Welcome Irene, we can't wait to see your fabulous creations.

Make sure to play in the challenges as they will be looking for Guest Design Team members in the near future.

I used this cute image "Bubble bath Scarlette" - from Totally Stampalicious's Bugaboo Line.
I water coloured the image using Tombow markers. Added Stampin Up Dazzling Diamonds to the water and light blue pearls for the bubbles. The solid blue card stock is from Stampin Up - called Blue Bayou, the striped dp is from Recollections - Autumn pack and the light blue patterned paper and solid panel is from Making Memories Poolside/Greenhouse paper pad. I ran the light blue panel through the Cuttlebug with the Textile folder. All edges were stitched.

This qualifies for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge C4C62 - issued by Cindy Haffner - to make a square card.

I hope you will join us over at the TS Blog - check out what the other talented DT members have come up with to inspire you. If you join us in our challenge make sure to add you card/project to Mr. Linky and if you upload to an online gallery make sure to use the keyword TSMONDAY.

Stampalicious & C4C challange card - Pimp my Ride

Happy Stampalicious Monday everyone.... Hope you all had a great Halloween, my DH and I were lucky to have three our of four of our sweet Grand daughters stop by and show us their adorable costumes :)

Today's Totally Stampalicious challenge is to use a red bow somewhere on your card or project. As you can see - I only have a teeny tiny red bow ... but I DO have a red bow :)

I used the new "Pimp my Ride Stella" and sentiment from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo line. Stella was stamped on water colour paper and coloured with Tombow markers. I cut out the image and placed it over the oval (snowflake embossed) panel. I added Stampendous Crystal Snow to the ground and under the sentiment. I added Crystal effects to Stella's glasses. The DP is from My Mind's Eye. I punched out three Real REd 1/2" circles and put clear acrylic circles over top.

I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious. Check out what the other DT have come up with to inspire you. Make sure to leave us a link to your Blog or gallery on Mr. Linky.

SCS colour challenge - A pretty flower Just for You

Here is a card that I made for Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge #CC294 - Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and neutrals of choice. I used the closest colours that I had on hand (sage shadow, blush blossom and kraft). I cut out the Flower and leaves from Sizzex dies. I scored the Acrylic white card stock in a diamond pattern. The polka dot dp is from Bazzil "rope swing". I cut the kraft and rope swing card stock in a wavy line to make it look like a rolling ground scape. Assembled the card. Attached the ribbon and sewed around edges. I made the shrinky dink tag. Sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps "Everyday jar-gon" set.

Wishing you a speedy recovery - Jess

I'm a little late uploading this card. I made this card for this weeks Teapot Tuesday challenge (#MMTPT117 ) on Splitcoast Stampers for Charlene Merricks (where m & m's gather) step-son Jess. Jess was attacked by a neighbours vicious Dog and now is faced with plastic surgery to repair the damage to his face. I will be sending this off to Jess - wishing him a speedy recovery.

Jess is a big Nascar fan and loves Dale Earnhaardt Sr. I don't have any racing card stamps so I went on line and found this colouring page image. I printed the image twice, cut one out and coloured it with markers. Dry embossed the back side of the image on the front portion of the car to give it some dimension. Matted image with black and red cardstock. I created the checkered background by weaving the black strips into the white panel. Matted the checkered panel with red card stock. Stamped sentiment (from Stampin Up's Bird on a Branch set), matted with black card stock. Sewed all panels. Attached the screw brads.

It's time for another Totally Stampalicous challenge, and this week it is a COLOUR challenge - to use purple, green and black on your card or project...

I used this fun new image and sentiment from "Let it Snow Stella" from Totally Stampalicious's new Bugaboo Line.

I stamped Stella with versafine onyx black ink and then clear embossed. Water coloured image with Tombow Markers. I made a winter scene on Acrylic paper, stamped on the fir trees (from Stampin Up's - Lovely as a Tree set) using Old Olive ink and Chocolate Chip. Glue white fun flock to the bottom section of the Stella image and the tree panel. Applied white liquid applique dots for the falling snow flakes. Stamped sentiment and punched out with Stampin Up Label punch. Inked Edges of all panels with Stazon Vibrant Violet ink. Sewed edge of base card, attached ribbon. Assembled card. Attached snowman embellishment. Tree panel, Stella and sentiment panel are popped up.
