It's the little things that make life BIG

Happy Saturday everyone.. this is a card I made for two challenges on Splitcoast Stampers... Wednesdays sketch challenge SC295 and Thursdays Ways to Use it #WT285 - "picture this" - to use a photo in yard card or project... I love this picture of two of my Grand daughters (Kayla and Nico and Nico's dog Burton). The sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Happy Harmony" set. I coloured the first two words of the stamp with a black marker and stamped onto vellum using the stamp a ma jig for positioning, repeated procedure with "little things" and next "that make life BIG.
I punched out the pink polka dot circles and pierced button holes to make faux buttons. I used acrylic water colour white paper (textured) as black card stock. Sewed all panels and sewed on buttons and flower.

Happiness Is....

Happy Friday everyone... Here is a fairly quick card I made this morning.. The Happy Harmony flowers and sentiment were stamped along time ago.. I was so very happy to use it this morning. This week over at Splitcoast Stampers the challenge today was to celebrate May Day and use flowers/blossoms on your card. This also qualifies for Our Creative Corners challenge to use blossoms. I used the Sketch from Splitcoast Stampers #SC278, plus Thursday's challenge was to use chipboard. My faux button is made from chipboard and I covered it with the red SU designer paper that I used on my card. All edges were stitched - I think it looks like a quilt block. Sewed on the gingham ribbon and faux button.

Recipe:

Stamps - Stampin Up - Happy Harmony
Paper - Stampin Up designer paper, whisper white, real red and black
Ink - real red, basic black
Accessories - sewing machine, Cuttlebug, Sizzlet button die cut, chipboard, Diamond Stickles, pop dots, piercing tool.

Happiness is ...

Happy Sunday everyone..... Here is my card that I made for three challenges. On Splitcoast Stampers - Angella D. Crockett is this weeks featured stamper (angelladcrockett), I also did the Ways to Use it challenge - love of lace. I used this weeks Our Creative Corners sketch for my layout. Here is the beautiufl card of Angella's that I cased.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up - Happy Harmony set. I versamarked the sentiment and then embossed it using the burgundy colour. Reverse masked sentiment and sponged on gold metallic ink. The pretty flower paper is from Basic Grey - Porcelain line. The rose and cream coloured shimmery card stock is from Recollection - gemstone. The gold metallic paper is from The Paper company. Used the ticket corner punch from Stampin up.

Happy Heart Day and It's the Little Things

Happy Monday everyone.... here are two Clean and Simple cards I made for the CAS challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. - to use designer Papers. The first card with the little bear (from Stampin Up set - Beary Best) also qualifies for the challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenge - Pretty in Pink - design a card or project with a pink theme... I went with the pink heart on the red dp and the pink striped paper and pink ribbons. I like the shape of this card - I saw this in a Paper Crafts magazine from a few years back. The top edge is 3" wide and the bottom edge is 6" wide. The striped paper is 2 1/2". I sewed on the pink ric rack.

The second card was very easy to make - I already had the flowers and the sentiment stamped - something I did a couple of years ago and found it in my stash. Flowers and sentiment are from the Stampin Up set called Happy Harmony. I coloured the flowers with markers and then added Diamond stickles to the top sections of the flowers. Matted image with black cardstock. I scored the upper and lower sections of the white base card. Punched out the lower edge of the middle black panel with Stampin up scalloped punch, layered the Stampin up checked dp over top. Pierced holes in the scallops. Popped up the image and done.
