You're on my Mind

Hello everyone... I made this card for two challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers. Yesterday's sketch challenge and today's Ways to Use it --- use Butterflies on your card/project. I had coloured this sweet Magnolia image last year while riding on the B.C. Ferries. I coloured it with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. Designer paper is from My Minds Eye (green/blue sunbursts) and the green checkered is from Amuse.

Thanks for stopping in,

Sock Monkey Girl says "Hello"

Well it was a SNOW DAY for me.... tones of time to play in my little old craft room :)

I made this cute little Bugaboo Digi Stamp - Sock monkey card for some challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers, plus this weeks challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges - to use circles on your card/project.

For the Technique challenge #TLC300 we were asked to use at least two of the previous technique challenges - I used TLC133 - gamsol magic (colouring with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol) and TLC160 - Cuttlebug negative effect (Ink up cuttlebug folder - put card stock in folder and run through the bug) - I also sprinkled clear embossing powder onto the card stock - ink was still wet and heat embossed - that is what gave the bg the shine. I coloured the sock monkey image with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. The Clean and Simple challenge #CAS94 - was sponging. I sponged the embossed panel edges and over the raised circles with Basic brown ink and around the circles behind the little sock monkey.

Stampalicious Challenge - Paper Piecing

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious Challenge - this weeks challenge is PAPER PIECING. I chose to use this cute Totally Stampalicious "Willameana" image and sentiment for my paper piecing.

We are getting ready for another release

Totally Stampalicious is having a Blog Hop

Thursday, November 18th @

9 PM Eastern Time

I stamped the image three times. Twice onto water colour paper and once onto the "Amuse" checked designer paper. I coloured the Santa list on the bottom image and only her head on the other. Cut out the coloured head, and from the dp stamped image her headband and pj's. On the pj's I used a SU Regal Rose marker and a white gel pen to colour part of the collar and zipper and pockets, plus the headband was coloured with Regal Rose marker. I cut out a piece of dp for the floor and drew in some lines with a Prisma colour pencil crayon and smudge the lines to make it look like a hardwood floor. Willameana's head and pj's are popped up. I added the little flower rhinestones to her headband and to the little wooden Teddy bears belly. Added Fruit Punch Stickles her collar, pockets, headband and to the trees on the DP. The designer paper is from My Minds Eye - Colourful Christmas.

Below is a card I made for today's CAS sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. The mug and sentiment are from Totally Stampalicious's "Coffee Brawd" set. I paper pieced the mug, I stamped the sentiment onto Shrinky Dink and heated it in the oven. Cut out the mug with exacto knife, tied on the sentiment.

I hope you will come and join us over at Totally Stampalicious, make sure to check out what the other DT members have come up with to inspire you. If you do decide to play in the challenge - make sure to leave a link to you blog or online gallery on Mr. Linky.

I am also entering the first card on this post "Willameana" into the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge #C4C63 - to make a Christmas card or project....

FS196, F4A37, Bugaboo, Just Thinking of You

Happy Sunday everyone.... Here is a cute Sock Monkey card I made for todays Featured Stamper Challenge and Friday's Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers, and Bugaboo Stamps Blog challenge - "Anything Goes". Tobi (aka jazzytobi) was chosen as this weeks Featured stamper #FS196. I cased this cute teddy bear card "MAY09VSNG"

The adorable digi Sock Monkey is from Bugaboo Stamps - called Sock Monkey Girl Sitting.
I coloured the image with Prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I scored the creamy caramel panel every 1/8" going vertical and horizontally. I had some left over sock monkey fabric from a baby quilt I made for my grand daughter "Kaylee" which was perfect for the pleated ribbon strip. Sentiment is from Studio G.

This card qualifies for the challenge that is going on over at Bugaboo Stamps Blog - "Anything Goes". Plus the Free 4 all challenge at Splitcoast Stampers - to make a card or project with something that has a tail - critter, kite etc.

Stampalicious texture challenge

First of all, I wanted to share this picture of Becky, her son and I. Yesterday I was lucky enough to finally meet Rebeccah Kuhne (Becky) - one of the owners of Totally Stampalicious. She was visiting some of her family in Victoria and was selling TS stamps at the "Western Speedway Swap Meet".

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge... this week we have been challenged to use at least two different textures on our card or projects. You can add textures in many different ways, dry or heat embossing, glitter, fabric, ribbon, cork, flower soft, fun flock, wood - the possibilities are endless.

I made two cards for this challenge - For my first card I used this adorable little girl image from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line - "Sweet Birthday Kids" set. As you can see I have lots of texture on this card - sewing, embossing, ribbon, textured paper and buttons. I water coloured the little girl image with Tombow Markers.

I combined the first card with a few Splitcoast Stamper challenges. Queen for the Day #QFTD23 (Princessheather), Featured Stamper FS185 (Princessheather), Free 4 all Fridays F4A26 - mix/mash it up - use stamps from differernt stamp sets, Ways to use it WT284 - use Versamark ink and WT284 - use buttons. Here is the adorable card of Heather's that I cased.

For my second card I used "Sean with Flower" from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line. For texture I have the flower soft grass, sewing and the little flower he is holding has a brad and crystal effects on it. The edges have been distressed and sponged. I coloured this image with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. Sean and the sentiment have been popped up. I used the "Faux Brick Wall" technique for the background panel.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious, make sure to check out what the other DT members have come up with to inspire you.

Chocolate helps with the back pain... Really

Happy Day everyone. Here is a card I made for yesterday's Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast Stampers. Kittie Caracciolo (aka Kittie747) has the honor of being crowned. I cased this lovely card of Kittie's. I used a Bugaboo image created by Jodi Mackrell that was turned into rubber by Totally Stampalicious called Pregnant JJ - I just love her look and all the fun sentiments that come with this set.

Have to run - getting ready for work.

Hugs... Pat
