Happy Sunday everyone... Just wanted to share this card with you. I made this yesterday morning, before I went to work. This was for a few challenges on Splitcoast Stampers, Queen for the Day - we were honouring Lesley (aka Marleygo) - Here is her beautiful card that I cased. I used the Black magic technique on my Kraft card stock. This card also fits for Splitcoast Stampers Fan Club theme - anything that grows.... 
Hello everyone... Here is a card I made using the black magic technique on kraft paper. I stamped the images on kraft using whisper white craft ink. Coloured flowers with prisma colour pencil crayons. Matted image with Bermuda Bay and close to cocoa. For the base panel I stamped the flowers in white ink on Kraft card stock. Stamped the sentiment on Kraft using chocolate chip ink. Punched out sentiment with oval punch. Distressed and sewed all edges. Image panel is popped up. The flowers are from Inkadinkado - Garden Delight and the sentiment is from Stampin Up - Fresh Cuts.
Happy Tuesday.... here are two cards I made yesterday for the Splitcoast Stampers Technique Challenge - to use a technique called "Black Magic". Here is an excellent tutorial by Wendy Wixler on how to do the "Black Magic" technique.
For the top card - I coloured the flowers using Prisma colour pencil crayons instead of using water colour pencil. I used two different shades of each colour instead of three. Matted image with Burgundy and black card stock. I used the picket fence punch on the top and bottom of the black c/s - you can just see the top of the picket fence showing. I cut a 2" square of burgundy- cut this in half to make the rectangles underneath the image panel. Assembled image panel and sewed edges. Attached the black brads to burgundy triangle. Base card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 white card stock. For the base panel - I cut a 5 1/4" square of houndstooth and polka dot dp. Cut the square in half (triangle) - then using only one triangle of each dp I cut them in 1/2 again (triangle). Placed the 4 triangles onto black card stock and layered a 5 1/4" square piece of vellum over top. Sewed edges. Made the ribbon and bow embellishment - sewed it to base card. Both panels are popped up.

FS155 - Karen B Barber - make sure to check out her amazing gallery - she is one talented artist. Here is the card that inspired me - "Black and white magic". Karen is known for her beautiful cards using the black magic technique. Here is a tutorial given by Karen for the Black magic technique with a twist. I have only made one other card using it. I love the stamp she used "Inspired by Nature" so it was the perfect choice for me to case. I stamped the image using craft white ink onto chocolate chip card stock. Coloured the flowers with prisma colour pencil crayons. Used white gel pen to apply the dots. Made the little fence with a Martha Stewart punch. Scored lines, folded and sponged edges with chocolate chip to highlight the individual boards.
