Merry & Bright

Here's is a card I made for Our Creative Corners Sketch Challenge and yesterday's Splitcoast Stampers Featured stamper challenge #FS147. Here is the card of MrsBoz (CarollAnne) that I cased.

I stamped my adorable House Mouse image (Having A Ball) using Stazon black ink onto some Shrinky Dink. Coloured images with Prismacolour pencil crayons. I punched out circles with nestabilities, then shrunk the images. Stamped ornaments onto a textured white card stock. Coloured images then cut out circles from ornaments. I made the upper border. Added liquid applique and Diamond stickles. Stamped on my Merry & Bright sentiment. Coloured the sentiment with old olive and real red. I placed the two shrinky dinks onto a piece of white card stock and placed behind image panel using pop dots so that the shrinky dinks would be recessed. Applied stickles to white dp for sparkly snow.

Recipe:

Stamps: - Stampabilities House Mouse - Having a Ball - HMC1005, Oranaments and Sentiment were purchased at Michael's
Ink: - Stazon jet black, Stampin Up Old Olive, Real Red

Blissful Winter Wonderland by DGD Kayla

I just wanted to share this with you..... Here is a picture of my sweet Granddaughter - Kayla. Holding Christmas cards she made for her Mommy and Daddy (with a little help from Gramma Rose). Kayla picked out the stamps and colours she wanted to use. She stamped her images then Gramma cut the out for her and the dp's. Kayla put the tape on back of images and dp, then assembled card. She picked out the red rhinestones for her Mommy's card and we glued them on. Doesn't she look so proud of herself..... Great job Kayla... Mommy and Daddy are going to love getting these from You.....

Hugs.... Gramma Rose

Wishing you a Joyful Merry Christmas

Happy Monday everyone.... Here is a card I made for yesterday's SCS Featured stamper challenge... CarollAnne (aka MrsBoz) is this weeks FS. Make sure to check out her amazing SCS gallery... Here is the card I cased - "Cool Dude".

Pierced holes in front of sentiment.

HM#57 - Double Pocket Bag Challenge

Happy House Mouse Monday to all you House Mouse Lovers.... :)

We have some sad news - This weeks will be Jannekes last challenge. She has been with us since the start of the blog and has always created wonderful cards/projects for us to admire over the year. We wish Janneke all the best in the future and hope that she will visit us and play along when she gets a chance.

Today, Janneke has issued our challenge - to make a DOUBLE POCKET BAG. Check out this tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers. I made two bookmarks and a gift card wallet to go inside the bag. Here is the tutorial for the wallet. I lamented the bookmarks, punched holes with crop-o-dile and tied on the two colours of raffia.

My cute House Mouse image is called "Mice Star" starring Muzzy. I water coloured the image and matted it with burgundy and Kraft. Sewed edges. I cut out the bag, but before I glued it together I sewed on the DP and buttons. Assembled card. I braided two colours of raffia and attached to the bag.

Recipe:

Stamps - Stampabilites - House Mouse - Mice Star

Ink - stazon jet black, soft sky, creamy caramel, blush blossom, pretty in pink, old olive, certainly celery, chocolate chip

Paper - Tim Coffey - Fall Script, DJ Inkers - Paperdoodle Pad, DCWV, water colour, Kraft

Accessories - raffia, crop-o-dile, buttons, sewing machine, aqua painter, brads, laminator

Please make sure to come on over to the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog and check out what the very talented DT members have come up with to inspire you.

Fabric Cardinal Christmas

Hello.. I combined four challenges for my card... Teapot Tuesday, Splitcoast Stampers Colour challenge (Always Artichoke, Real Red, Chocolate Chip and neutrals), Technique challenge (cut outside the Box) and Fan Club challenge (touchable textures).
Here is the beautiful teapot Marilynn picked for our inspiration.

My card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 always artichoke. Stamped AA with Sanded backgrounder using chocolate chip ink. I used the Labels two die cut to frame my cardinals. Stamped the chocolate frame with Sanded backgrounder. Matted chocolate chip and fabric with real red.
Note: I cut out the red cardinals tail, so it would stick out over the frame. Attached the black corner brads, Sentiment and oval hardware.

HMF#56 - America's card kit challenge

Happy House Mouse Monday everyone... For this weeks HM challenge, the very talented America sent the DT members a CARD KIT full of brown and cream papers, textured papers, flourish die cuts, pearls, charms, bling, ribbon and silver cording. We were to make a card using as much or as little as we wanted from the kit, and to use our own tools and colouring mediums. She did ask us to use at least one of the adorable mouse charms.

As it would be impossible to send you all a kit we would like you to have a look at what America sent us and try to reproduce the kit. But not to worry if it is not exactly the same or even if you only have a few items that you can use.

Plus there is a fabulous prize this week from HOUSE MOUSE DESIGNS. A $25.00 gift voucher. Please see the rules on the side bar on the House Mouse Monday Challenge blog for your chance to win.

Plus - America has a small prize she is offering up.. A Baggie full of Silver Beautiful Adorable Quality Charms... Check out her blog for more details..

Below is a picture of the card kit.

Below is what I came up with. I believe I made one itty bitty mistake - I used a Martha Stewart mouse border on the top of my card... I had just purchased this punch and wanted to use it. After I assembled and glued my card together I reread the rules... sorry America :(

I made an Easel style card... you can find directions here and here. I coloured this sweet House Mouse image "Pumpkin Pie" with Prismacolour pencil crayons and gamsol. Clear embossed the chocolate pie, applied white liquid applique to the top for the whip cream... I cut out the image and layered it over top base image. I drew in the wall paneling lines and base boards. Sponged edges. I cut the polka dot dp, brown and cream textured papers into 1 1/2" squares. Next I cut the brown and white squares into triangles and made my background patterns. The squares were layered over a 5 1/4" brown square and sewed on. I layered the cream and brown flourishes. Assembled main Easel panel. Added the pearls to the flourish and image panel. Made the sentiment panel. Made the bow with chocolate ribbon and silver cording. Tied on the adorable mouse charm.... Thank you America for the wonderful card kit... there is so much left over to make a few more cards from all those yummy goodies and the extra charms...

Please hop on over to House Mouse and Friends and check out what the other talented DT members came up with from America's card kit... And we can't wait to see what you come up with....

This also qualifies for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge - to make an Easel card...
