Faux You

Hello... I made this card for Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge CC287 (concord crush, pear pizzazz and peach parfait), this is also for The Teapot Tuesday challenge #MMTPT110 - involving butterflies... We are making these cards for a fellow SCS stamper who is going through Chemotherapy right now.. Here is more information on the Teapot challenge and info if you would like to send her a card to cheer her up.

I used the faux tile/grid technique to make this card. I scored the lines, stamped on the butterflies and the leaf flourish border. Matted with purple, added the brads and the ribbon corner embellishment. Layered imaged panel over 5 1/2" base card.

Thinking of You

Here is a card I made for two challenges on Splitcoast Stampers. Last weeks Queen for the Day QFTD25 "SparklePlenty1000" Phyllis Long and Monday's Clean and Simple sketch challenge #CAS83. I cased this lovely card of Phyllis's "Measure of Life". I water coloured the image with Stampin Up reinkers. Cut the image into four squares, layered image over brown card stock. I stamped the weather background onto the base panel. Masked and sponged on the 1/4" border. Cut slot in base card and inserted the feather. Sentiment is from Stampin Up "Bird on a branch" set.

What's One More Friggin' Candle

TOTALLY STAMPALICIOUS is having a NEW RELEASE AND BLOG HOP - THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH @ 9:00 P.M. EST!!!
We are so0000 excited about these new sets and we know you will be too....

It's time from another Totally Stampalicious challenge.... to use PAPER FLOWERS on your card or project - it can be store bought, die cut or punched... it's up to you.

I used this fun image and sentiment from the Totally Stampalicious - Bugaboo line - "Stella's Birthday" - stamped image with Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossed. Coloured image with Tombow and Stampin up markers, plus Martha Stewart glitter pens. For my paper flowers I used my Cuttlebug flower die - I cut three flowers out - two red and one light blue. Layered the two red ones, used the center of the blue one only. Punched out some leaves and layered underneath.

I used last weeks sketch #SC296 from Splitcoast Stampers. Diamond Stickles were added to the embossed Swiss Dots.

Please make sure to come on over to the Totally Stampalicious Blog to check out what the other DT members have come up with to inspire you.... Hope you will join us...

Happy stamping and creating,

FS187 - casing Emily Niehaus (aka "stampingout")

Happy Sunday everyone.... Here are two cards I made for today's featured stamper challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. The featured stamper is Emily Niehaus (aka "stampingout"). Emily's gallery is full of beautiful works of art.... There are so many cards I want to case - but only managed to case two today.

I cased THIS card "Krafty Blue Vanilla Birthday". I used the same Stampin Up flower stamp "Upsy Daisy", the sentiment is from Stampin Up "Well Scripted" set. I also used the "Weathered backgrounder" stamp from Stampin Up on the Kraft base card. Stamped bg with versamark ink and clear embossed. I stamped the flowers with Night of Navy ink and the over stamped with Basic Black using just the edge of the ink pad - to make a "Plaid" design - then I clear embossed the flowers. Matted image with Night of Navy card stock and sewed around the image twice. Stamped on the sentiment. Attached the photo corner and sewed on the buttons with raffia.

For my second card I cased THIS beautiful card of Emily's called "Life". The foliage is from Stampin Up's set "Inspired by Nature" and the sentiment is from Stampin Up's "It's your Birthday" set. I stamped the image and sentiment using Chocolate Chip ink onto cream card stock, cut out a circle mask for the moon. Starting at the bottom I sponged on Really Rust ink, next Pumpkin Pie and then Apricot Appeal. Masked the image panel with Chocolate Chip and a textured cream card stock. Base card is chocolate chip. Ribbon is from Martha Stewart. I sewed the image panel with yellow thread.

Happy Birthay Ms. Eula

Hello everyone... here is a card I made for a few challenges on Splitcoast Stampers - Teapot Tuesday Challenge #MMTPT109, Ways to Use it - WT285 (Photo) and SCS Fan Club Theme - (Faux What) and also for the Crazy 4 Challenges blog challenge - #C4C52 - to use lattice on your card. I will be sending this card to Eula Cousins who is turning 108 years young - for more information on her - read HERE . Another challenge was to use a photo on you card - I took the picture of the rose in my garden. I scored the blue textured bg paper in the diamond shape to match the fence in the picture. I cut a piece of acetate and stamped the sentiment (from Stampin Up - Well Scripted set) using Stazon jet black. Pierced around the card and faux stitched using a white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by,
Happy Stamping and Creating,
