Welcome Baby "Kortland"

I made this adorable sock monkey card for some family members who just welcomed their precious son in their world. And his baby room is decorated with monkeys. I just had to use this cute Meljen's Designs sock monkey image.

This was also made for a few challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers - the inspiration challenge and ways to use it challenge (colouring). I made the diamond grind background using the Scor Pal. Scored the lines and then ran my yellow ink pad over top of the grid. I really like how this turned out...

Hello peeps... it is another gorgeous day in the neighbourhood. Had a wonderful walk around Buttertubs Marsh yesterday and will be heading outside to enjoy some more sunny, cold weather.

I kept the same theme and similar layout and colours. I used different stamps from three Stampin Up sets (sentiment is from "Well Scripted" , Flower is from "Delight in Life" and the leafs are from "In Full Bloom".

The card below is for Splitcoast Stampers inspiration challenge #IC265. I was inspired by these coaster plates from Neest. I used stamps from three different Stampin Up stamp sets. Well Scripted, In Full Bloom and Spring Solitude.

Thank you my Friend

Happy Saturday everyone... Well we had our very first snowfall last night... it didn't accumulate to very much thank god... It is supposed to get down to -7 tonight... Winter is definitely on its way....

I made this card for 4 different challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers... Queen for the Day - Maxell (Bev) , Ways to use it - to use browns on your card, Free 4 all - to make a thank you card and the Inspiration Challenge "Plaid Pony Vintage". Here is the owl card of Bev's that I cased and the Plaid Pony inspiration "Owl piggy bank".

I am also entering this in the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge - to have circles on your card or project, in your image, dp, circle dies, circle punches etc... My owl has circles in the stamped image.

The owl image is from Inkadinkado - "Patterned birds and bug" set and the sentiment is from Studio G. I stamped the image onto water colour paper twice with vintage sepia ink and clear embossed. Water coloured owl/branch with Stampin Up creamy caramel, close to cocoa, really rust and old olive. Cut out the owl image from one, embossed the back with a stiletto to give it dimension and placed it over top of other image. Sponged creamy caramel and close to cocoa around both of the water colour paper panels. Card stock is Kraft and textured soft suede. Sewed edges of two of the panels.

Relax and Enjoy the great outdoors

For this card I combined Saturdays Inspiration challenge IC168 and Mondays Technique challenge TLC209 - rubber band stamping.
Here is the toy from "Flutter" that inspired my card.
I stamped the rubber bands with versamark and then embossed with detail silver onto white card stock. Randomly sponged on really rust and creamy caramel, this made my background dp. My stamp is from Stampabilities called Snoopy's Chopper #IR1021. I stamped Snoopy using stazon timber brown ink onto watercolour paper. Coloured image with sharpie markers and Stampin Up markers. Snoopy was stamped again on white paper and pieced onto original image. I Tied the scarf on Snoopy's neck. The red rock mountain and clouds in the background and the dirt in the foreground are from Hanna Stamps - Route 66 set. Water coloured the background. Sponged edges with really rust. Matted with black and really rust. The black center strip was run through the cuttlebug with distressed lines folder. Tied on the silver concho - this was given to me from my Mother-in-Law (Sharron Rose), I just received the sentiment in the mail on Friday (along with many, many House Mouse images, eyelets and ribbon --- from America - thanks so very, very much). Main image is up on pop dots... ribbon was heat curled.

Happy Stamping,
Patricia
