MMTPT146, Thinking of You

I created this beach scene for the Teapot Tuesday challenge #MMTPT146. I can't get this twang! The music's way to slow. I like what you sang. Let the beach steal the Show.

I will be sending this card off to Anthony who is recovering from a serious accident. Anthony loves the beach and music. I hope this card will put a smile on his face.

The lighthouse image is from Stampin Up's - Coast to Coast set and the cowboy him is from Sutter Enterprises - singing cowboy.

QFTD60, Happy Birthday - Monte

Here is another card a made a couple of weeks ago. I made this for a co-worker who loves the outdoors and fishing. It is also for the Queen for the Day challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.

Anne Ryan - who started the Queen for the Day challenge had the honor of receiving the Crown.

I cased this fun card of Anne's "Do Beavers have Tails".

I had the perfect image to use, (Mo Manning Digital image - Fishing). I kept the fishing theme and layout, I also used WIDE ribbon as Anne loves her wide ribbon. Image was coloured with Tombow Markers. The jumping fish are from Stampin Up's "On the Fly" set and the sentiment is from Totally Stampalicious. Designer paper is from Pine Cone Express - great outdoors.

Flying by with a Birthday Hi!

I have so many cards to upload to my blog - have been very busy with life these days.
I made this for a couple of challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers - CAS118 - use banners and Ways to Use It "WT322" - make a card for a little boy.
I stamped the Snoopy (Stampabilities - Snoopy's airplane) image with versafine onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured with Tombow Markers. Cut out image. Made the base scene (stamped on the trees (Inkadinkado - trees), sponged on the green and the clouds. The banner sentiment was computer generated, cut out sentiment in shape of a banner. Popped up Snoopy with dimensionals.

Vintage Truck on Route 66

Happy Sunday every... Here is a card I made earlier in the week for Mothermarks Teapot Tuesday challenge - "Are you outta your gourd - I ordered a Ford".

Our destination for our cards this week is Brampton, Ontario - to "Kim" - he is the cousin of fellow Splitcoast Stamper - teapotter "Laurie" (Virigo05) - he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer which has spread to his bones and he is only 41 years old. We are hoping our cards will bring a little joy to him. He loves Fords, hockey, football, steaks etc.

As I work at a Ford dealership (Steve Marshall Ford) and Kim is the chairman of Local 584 at the Ford Company I just had to bring Kim a vintage Ford truck. While driving along Route 66 my DH and I stopped at Hackberry General Store and saw this vintage truck parked in front of an old garage. I tried to recreate this scene but omitted all the signs from the garage so that the old truck would stand out. I hand drew the garage and I quite pleased with how it turned out.

Happy 60th Birthday Ritchie - Live to Ride

Here is a fun birthday card I made for a friend who is turning 60 this week. My dear husband and I mountain bike with Ritchie... We have gone on several road trips to Utah and Nevada to ride. Ritchie is one of the fastest and in shape riders in our group - no one would believe that he is going to be 60 years old. I just had to make a funny card for him - I made it as though he is riding his "Tricycle" in the forest --- I hope he will get a laugh from this card... :)

Connie Jones (aka stamp300) over at Splitcoast Stampers was crowned Queen for the Day
last Friday... I cased this "Live to Ride" card of Connies.

The image I used is from Bugaboo Stamps - Gus Birthday and I coloured it using Tombow Markers.

Bugaboo birthday cards

Hello everyone... I just had to share this adorable picture of my granddaughters Nico and Kayla. I was looking after them earlier in the week and when they visit with me they always want to make cards... I wonder why :)

Their Papa Ricards birthday was the next day - so that is what we made - funny birthday cards for their Papa. The images are from Bugaboo Stamps - Birthday Gus.

The girls coloured their images using my Tombow Markers. Next they chose their papers. I helped them with the sewing on their cards.

Their Papa was so very happy to receive these from the girls.

Hugs... Pat

Flying by to say "Hello"

Happy Tuesday everyone... I made this card for the Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT132 - over at Splitcoast Stampers and it also worked for this weeks colour challenge as well.

This week our card destination is to Kearney, Nebraska - to Sean, a young man battling testicular cancer. We were asked to bring, planes, balloons, kites etc.. anything that flys.

I had this wonderful airplane sticker in my stash and it worked perfectly for today's challenge and it's colours are close enough to this weeks colour challenge, night of navy, Cajun craze, daffodil delight. I just purchased the designer paper a couple of days ago - it came in a discounted paper pack from Michael's. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Hedgehog Happiness set.

Stampalicious - Masculine challenge

Today over at the Totally Stampalicious blog we have been challenged to make a MASCULINE themed card or project. I have used this fun Gus image and sentiment from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line called "Mr. Fixit". Image was water coloured with Tombow Markers. Sponged in the ground area. While sponging in the grass I accidentally got green on his ankles - so I made him wearing brown socks :)

I used two different Embossing folders for the bg panels. Sentiment was punched out with a Stampin Up Labels punch. Sponged and sewed edges. Attached the silver brads and screw brad. Image panel is popped up.

Stampalicious - Recycle challenge

Happy Boxing Day everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.

Today's challenge over at Totally Stampalicious is to recycle it - find something that is laying around the house or even pull it out of the trash "ewwww" and use it on your card or project.
I used a piece of cardboard that one of my Christmas gifts came in and the wheels on Gus's new truck are from tags that came on some clothing I purchased. The image and sentiment are from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo line - called New Truck Gus.

This is also for the featured stamper challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. I cased this cute card of Leisa Janes.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious - make sure to up load your card/project on Mr. Linky. We would love to see what you made.

Stampalicious challenge - Clean and Simple

Happy Monday everyone - it's time for another Totally Stampalicous challenge. We know that most of you are very busy at this time of year, so we are keeping it simple this week. We want to see your CLEAN AND SIMPLE cards. Which means to keep your layers and embellishments down to a minimum ( I find this very hard to do), often leaving lots of "White" space.

For the card above I used "Christmas JJ". I love this cute stamp set - it comes with two image an sentiments.

For the card below I used "New Truck Gus". I love the set as well - it comes with four humours sentiments and the one image - it is very easy to colour, and makes for some very fun masculine cards.

I stamped both of the images with Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured images. With the New Truck Gus card, I masked the image and then sponged in the sky and ground.

I hope you will come and join us over at Totally Stampalicious - check out what the other DT members have come up with to inspire you. If you join us - make sure to upload your card to Mr. Linky to your blog or gallery.

Also - Totally Stampalicious is on the lookout for Guest Designers and they'll be making their selection from all the people that play in the challenges.

My "New Truck Gus" card also works for the Technique Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers
#TLC303 - sponging.

Thinking of you my Deer

Hello everyone... Just sitting here in my warm and cozy Craft room - boy oh boy is it every miserable outside.... and I have to go out in about an hour to have my eyes tested.

I made this card yesterday for two challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers - TLC298 - stamping with water and the CAS92 Clean and Simple colour challenge - soft pink, old olive, Kraft, white and the optional colour marina mist.
Plus I am entering this in the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge C4C62 - issued by Cindy Haffner to make a square card.

I sponged the blue, pink and green onto water colour card stock. Sprayed the back of the tree and deer (from Stampin Up's Nature Silhouettes set) images with water and stamped over the sponged bg. Dried with heat gun. Coloured the backs of the images with markers and stamped on dried card stock - just a little bit off of the water stamped image. Sprayed the back of the Sanded backgrounder with water and stamped around the image and then heat dried panel. I stamped a piece of Kraft card stock with the Sanded backgrounder using Versafine Sepia Ink. Cut two cross slits in the middle of the panel and tore out the circle. Sponged the edges with Ranger distress ink - walnut. Placed deer image behind circle and sewed edges. Sponged edge of white 4x4 square base card with Ranger walnut ink.

Wishing you a speedy recovery - Jess

I'm a little late uploading this card. I made this card for this weeks Teapot Tuesday challenge (#MMTPT117 ) on Splitcoast Stampers for Charlene Merricks (where m & m's gather) step-son Jess. Jess was attacked by a neighbours vicious Dog and now is faced with plastic surgery to repair the damage to his face. I will be sending this off to Jess - wishing him a speedy recovery.

Jess is a big Nascar fan and loves Dale Earnhaardt Sr. I don't have any racing card stamps so I went on line and found this colouring page image. I printed the image twice, cut one out and coloured it with markers. Dry embossed the back side of the image on the front portion of the car to give it some dimension. Matted image with black and red cardstock. I created the checkered background by weaving the black strips into the white panel. Matted the checkered panel with red card stock. Stamped sentiment (from Stampin Up's Bird on a Branch set), matted with black card stock. Sewed all panels. Attached the screw brads.

Hay! How are you?

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge - to make a masculine card or project. I have used this fun "Farmer Hawg" image on my card. I coloured the image with Prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I had the sheep dp in my stash that I thought would be perfect on my card, plus the green textured gingham dp. I cut four squares and placed them over the black card stock, next I wrapped string around the middle of the card and stitched edges. I cut out the image and popped it up over the small square panel. Aren't those silver chickens the perfect embellishment for this card!!!

Make sure to check out what the other very talented Totally Stampalicious Design Team members have come up with to inspire you.

Totally Stampalicious Monday Colour Challenge card

It time for another Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge... Vicki came up with this fabulous colour combination - Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip and Not Quite Navy (dark teal).
I thought these colours would make a great masculine card - this is the first time I have used this fun TS image "Farmer Hawg". I coloured the image with prismacolour pencil crayons and gamsol. I also used the out of the box technique - several parts of the image are outside the rectangle shape. I ran the creamy caramel panel through the cuttlebug with the paisley embossing folder.

Don't forget about the awesome the T.S. "BLOG HOP" to launch their new release of their new line of Bugaboo stamps on April 22nd starting at 9:00 pm EST - that means "Prizes".

I wanted to case one of Sue Titilo's cards as she was QFTD05 - "QUEEN FOR THE DAY" over at Splitcoast Stampers. Here is the card of Sue's that I cased - it was a Totally Stampalicious sketch challenge. I kept a similar layout, used the same image, 3 buttons, and scalloped edge.

I used last weeks sketch SC276 from Splitcoast Stampers, plus the ways to use it challenge - Out side the box and embossing F4A8 .

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious for this weeks challenge - check out what the other DT members came up with to inspire you.

Framed Native Art

Happy Saturday.... here is a card I made earlier this week.... I made this for the Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge, the Dirty Dozen Fan Club challenge - masculine and Mothermarks Teapot Tuesday challenge.

Here is the story to the Teapot Tuesday challenge.... I wanted to bring Abner the Abominable snowman some artwork to hang on this snow cave wall - to give him a little bit of colour.
I used two colours from the colour challenge - blue and red - black is my neutral colour.

The native art whale image is from "My Heart Stamps for You" - Alaska. Coloured image with Stampin Up markers... cut out image and layered over white panel.

Thanks for stopping in.
Happy Stamping and creating.

Hugs... Pat
