Stampalicious Monday - Hello

It's that time again... Today's challenge over at Totally Stampalicious to is to make a "Non" occasion card. No birthdays, no anniversary's, no valentines, no St. Patricks day - you get the picture.. Just saying "Hello" - sometimes it's nice just to give someone a card for "no reason at all".

I used the "Cute Turtles" image and sentiment on my first card. The layout I used is from Splitcoast Stampers - sketch challenge #SC317.

For the card above I used Desiree from the Totally Stampalicious - Bugaboo Brats set. I made this card for Splitcoast Stampers - Featured Stamper challenge #FS208. Sue (aka Tillment) is this weeks Featured Stamper. I cased this sweet card of hers "Strawberries and Cream".

I hope you will come and join us over at the Totally Stampalicious Blog, make sure to check out what the other very talented DT members have come up with to inspire you. Make sure to upload you card from you blog or gallery on Mr. Linky. They are always on the look out for the next guest designer...

It's time to say goodbye to our January Guest designer, Irene. She has given us some amazing Eye Candy to ogle.

Just to let you know, I will sadly be leaving the Totally Stampalicious Design Team. It was a hard decision to make, but I need to take some time out to enjoy my new twin grand babies "Austin and Sydney" and the rest of my family. I need less commitments and I am sure most of you will understand where I am coming from. I will continue to play in the Totally Stampalicious challenges when I can come and visit you in Blogland..

Thank you so much for stopping in,
Hugs.... Pat

Sock Monkey Girl says "Hello"

Well it was a SNOW DAY for me.... tones of time to play in my little old craft room :)

I made this cute little Bugaboo Digi Stamp - Sock monkey card for some challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers, plus this weeks challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges - to use circles on your card/project.

For the Technique challenge #TLC300 we were asked to use at least two of the previous technique challenges - I used TLC133 - gamsol magic (colouring with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol) and TLC160 - Cuttlebug negative effect (Ink up cuttlebug folder - put card stock in folder and run through the bug) - I also sprinkled clear embossing powder onto the card stock - ink was still wet and heat embossed - that is what gave the bg the shine. I coloured the sock monkey image with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. The Clean and Simple challenge #CAS94 - was sponging. I sponged the embossed panel edges and over the raised circles with Basic brown ink and around the circles behind the little sock monkey.

Oh Johnny Boy

Happy Tuesday everyone.... Lucky me - I was able to get FIVE challenges in this one cute card... Mothermarks Teapot Tuesday challenge - "That's the Madd Hatter? I thought he'd be Fatter!!!, Totally Stampalicious - this weeks colour challenge - White, Black and Wow - one colour that pops (mine is RED) and their last challenge - glam, glitz - Vegas Style, Mojo Monday's sketch challenge #128 and Crazy 4 Challenges - textures - C4C26 - use three different textures ( I used two different embossing folders - houndstooth on the b/w dp, the herring bone behind Glam kitty, sewing plus I pleated the black strip, added all the rhinestones and her top-hat)...

I coloured this fun image "Glam Kitty" from Totally Stampalicious with Prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I made her top hat - (she wanted Johnny Depp to notice her at the "Alice in Wonderland premier). For more on the Teapot Tuesday Challenge check here.
Card size is 5 x 6 1/2. I ran the houndstooth dp through the Cuttlebug with houndstooth EF and the white circle with the herringbone folder. Matted the dp with real red and black. I cut out the white and red circles with Spellbinders. Pleated a strip of black card stock. Sewed edges of dp panel, circle and sewed the pleated dp and red rectangles onto base card. Made the two red corner triangles. Popped up the circle panel and Miss Glam Kitty. Added the rhinestones and applied Diamond Stickles.

Happy hello

I made these two Clean and Simple cards for the CAS #52 challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. A sketch challenge - were were to be inspired by this cute card by kmahany.

For the "Happy Hello" card - the flower and sentiment are from Fiskars - "Just between Friends". I first stamped the flower in Summer Sun and then rock n rolled it into Pumpkin Pie ink. Cut out the flowers and attached the bright yellow buttons. I just purchased the large scalloped "ek success" embossed curve edger punch today from Michael's (used my 50% discount coupon). I cut a smaller white panel and placed my flowers and ribbon onto it. Popped up the panel. The sentiment is stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink... I am very happy with how this one turned out.

For the "oh HAPPY day! card - I stamped the flower/square image (Kolette Hall $1.50 stamp) with stazon jet black ink. I turned the stamp in three different directions. Water coloured the square with Blush Blossom ink, coloured the flower with Prisma colour pencil crayon - terra cotta and blended with gamsol. Added the 1/2 black pearls. The textured gingham paper is from DCWV - Farmers Market. I cut a strip of Blush Blossom and used my Stampin Up scalloped border punch across the bottom, layered gingham over- top. Stamped sentiment (Fiskars - Just between Friends) with Stazon Jet Black ink. Made and little black satin bow and glued on. I pleased with this one as well.

Thanks for stopping in.
Happy stamping and creating.

Quilted Cards - May your bobbin always be full and Howdy There Miss Kitty

Happy Tuesday everyone... I have two cards to share with you. The green quilted "log cabin block" with the Handsome cowboy in the middle (my oldest son Kyle) I made for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday challenge, Splitcoast Stampers Monday Technique challenge to make a card with a quilt block design and today's SCS colour challenge - certainly celery, handsome hunter, Bermuda bay and the desert option - pink (anything other than pink card stock).

The story line for the Teapot Tuesday challenge is - We are off to Dodge City - What is wrong with Miss Kitty? Check out the story here and Mothermarks Blog - This is my Story.

I used the Maple Leaf quilt block design to make the card below. I made it look like a wall hanging. The sentiment is from Stampin Up - "Quilt Quips".
