Smile - it's a beautiful Thing

I absolutely love this "Mother Teresa" quote. I used the quote as my focal point on my cards.
The Free 4 All challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers was to do just that - use the sentiment as the focal point. The technique challenge was to make Paper Buttons (faux buttons) which I used on both of my cards and the Clean and Simple challenge was "a Gift" - as Mother Teresa said - a smile is a gift of LOVE.

Flying by with a Birthday Hi!

I have so many cards to upload to my blog - have been very busy with life these days.
I made this for a couple of challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers - CAS118 - use banners and Ways to Use It "WT322" - make a card for a little boy.
I stamped the Snoopy (Stampabilities - Snoopy's airplane) image with versafine onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured with Tombow Markers. Cut out image. Made the base scene (stamped on the trees (Inkadinkado - trees), sponged on the green and the clouds. The banner sentiment was computer generated, cut out sentiment in shape of a banner. Popped up Snoopy with dimensionals.

Sweet Stuff

Here a sweet picture of my Grand daughter "Nico". I was looking after her the other day while here Mommy was at the Dentist. She wanted to make a card for her, so she picked out the lolly pop image from Stampin Up's "Very Punny" set. She randomly stamped on the image with a little direction from me "Gramma Rose" and coloured one of the lolly pops. We matted image panel with Bravo Burgundy and Certainly celery. Cut out the Baja Breeze button with Sizzex die. We assembled the card and then sewed all the layers together and sewed on the buttons. Applied Stickles to the Lolly pop. Stamped sentiment inside card. We used the colours from Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge CC306.

Splitcoast Stamper challenge cards

Hello peeps... it is another gorgeous day in the neighbourhood. Had a wonderful walk around Buttertubs Marsh yesterday and will be heading outside to enjoy some more sunny, cold weather.
I had to play in one of my favourite Splitcoast Stamper challenges today and also made a card for yesterday's Inspiration challenge.

Marisa (aka WhiteRockMama) is today's featured stamper. She makes beautiful, clean cards and she loves her flowers and butterflies. I cased this lovely card. I kept the same theme and similar layout and colours. I used different stamps from three Stampin Up sets (sentiment is from "Well Scripted" , Flower is from "Delight in Life" and the leafs are from "In Full Bloom".

The card below is for Splitcoast Stampers inspiration challenge #IC265. I was inspired by these coaster plates from Neest. I used stamps from three different Stampin Up stamp sets. Well Scripted, In Full Bloom and Spring Solitude.

Thanks for stopping in,
Happy New Year,
Hugs. Pat

PLUS this is for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday challenge #MMTPT124 - Boisterous Bree, you're the next star of GLEE.

Stampalicious challenge - Clean and Simple

Happy Monday everyone - it's time for another Totally Stampalicous challenge. We know that most of you are very busy at this time of year, so we are keeping it simple this week. We want to see your CLEAN AND SIMPLE cards. Which means to keep your layers and embellishments down to a minimum ( I find this very hard to do), often leaving lots of "White" space.

For the card above I used "Christmas JJ". I love this cute stamp set - it comes with two image an sentiments.

For the card below I used "New Truck Gus". I love the set as well - it comes with four humours sentiments and the one image - it is very easy to colour, and makes for some very fun masculine cards.

I stamped both of the images with Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured images. With the New Truck Gus card, I masked the image and then sponged in the sky and ground.

I hope you will come and join us over at Totally Stampalicious - check out what the other DT members have come up with to inspire you. If you join us - make sure to upload your card to Mr. Linky to your blog or gallery.

Also - Totally Stampalicious is on the lookout for Guest Designers and they'll be making their selection from all the people that play in the challenges.

My "New Truck Gus" card also works for the Technique Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers
#TLC303 - sponging.

Happy Stamping and Creating,

Wishing you a Peaceful Merry Christmas

Happy Sunday everyone... Here is a card I made for one of my favourite challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers - the Featured Stamper challenge. Today Lisa (aka LisaADD) has been given this honour. I chose to case this CAS Christmas card called " Just a little Christmas Note". I love Chickadee's - we have them feeding in our backyard feeders right now.

This bird image is from "My Heart Stamps for You" - Plate #162. I water coloured them image, clear embossed the ornament and added Diamond Stickles to the snow. I dotted the bg with glue and applied the glitter for falling snow. Matted image and white base panel with chocolate chip. Sewed edges with brown thread. Stamped sentiment with versafine onyx black ink and clear embossed. Image panel is popped up. This was a fairly quick card for me to make :)

Two more Christmas cards finished :)

Hope you are all having a wonderful week... Time is sure flying by, Christmas will be here before we know it... I am busy trying to get a few more Christmas cards done.

The stamp I used on the first card is from Hero Arts - called "Collage Merry and Bright" - I really like this image and it is quick and easy to use... I stamped it with Versafine black ink and clear embossed. I stamped the kraft base card with Stampin Up's sanded backgrounder and clear embossed. Matted the image with red and black. Sewed the edges. The strip of dp is from K&Company - Yuletide pack. Sponged all edges. Assembled card and tied on ribbon...

I love these adorable little House Mouses - this image is called 'Peppermint Pals". I coloured image with watercolour pencil crayons and the used Champagne shimmer paint to paint over top of image with aquapainter. I finally used my Martha Stewart candy border punch.

Sock Monkey Girl says "Hello"

Well it was a SNOW DAY for me.... tones of time to play in my little old craft room :)

I made this cute little Bugaboo Digi Stamp - Sock monkey card for some challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers, plus this weeks challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges - to use circles on your card/project.

For the Technique challenge #TLC300 we were asked to use at least two of the previous technique challenges - I used TLC133 - gamsol magic (colouring with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol) and TLC160 - Cuttlebug negative effect (Ink up cuttlebug folder - put card stock in folder and run through the bug) - I also sprinkled clear embossing powder onto the card stock - ink was still wet and heat embossed - that is what gave the bg the shine. I coloured the sock monkey image with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. The Clean and Simple challenge #CAS94 - was sponging. I sponged the embossed panel edges and over the raised circles with Basic brown ink and around the circles behind the little sock monkey.
