Bloom where you're Planted

Hello everyone.... I made this card for a few challenges - Splitcoast Stampers featured stamper, sketch #325 and Free 4 All F4A57 (hello sunshine). Elaine Hughes (aka Quixotic) has the honor this week. She has a most fabulous gallery full of beautiful works of art. I cased this adorable Magnolia card called "Tilda - Mon Amie".

I coloured the Magnolia stamp image "Tilda with Sunflower" with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I was happy to use up some very old designer papers and a chipboard sentiment that I have had in my stash for ages.

The Free 4 All challenge was to be inspired by the sun. Well sunflowers need sun to grow and they are one of my favourite flowers.

Thanks for stopping in,

I used this adorable House Mouse Rubber stamp image "This egg's for you". I coloured the image with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I used the Fiskars grass border punch for the grass at the bottom of the circle. I love this polka dot designer paper from DCWV.

Snips and Snails

Happy Monday everyone... Sorry this is late but Blogger was having technical troubles and I could not upload my image... It is time for another Totally Stampalicious Blog challenge - today's challenge is to use Blue and Yellow on your card or project - any shades. I used this adorable image and sentiment "Sean with Flower " - a Bugaboo Brat image that Totally Stampalicious Store has turned into a clear acrylic stamp. Image was coloured with prismacolour pencil crayons and gamsol, plus I used markers to colour his hair and the strips on his t-shirt. I made the blue background panel from white card stock. I score the lines diagonally to match the yellow patterned paper, next I ran my Tempting Turquoise ink pad across the paper several times. I cut out the dp and close to cocoa matting with the Top note die and the oval sentiment and matting with nestabilities, sponged all edges. Made the pleated brown ribbon and sewed all edges and ribbon. Sentiment panel and Sean are popped up.

This card will also qualify for Crazy 4 Challenges - to add pleats to your card, plus Splitcoast Stampers Free for All #F4A15 - to make a card for a man or boy and today's Technique challenge - to make a card using your favourite technique and to make it personal. Hay! How are you?

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge - to make a masculine card or project. I have used this fun "Farmer Hawg" image on my card. I coloured the image with Prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I had the sheep dp in my stash that I thought would be perfect on my card, plus the green textured gingham dp. I cut four squares and placed them over the black card stock, next I wrapped string around the middle of the card and stitched edges. I cut out the image and popped it up over the small square panel. A pretty poppy just for you

Here is a card I made earlier this week. I just love this pretty poppy from the Stampin Up set - In full bloom. The sentiment is from the SU set - Fresh Cuts. I coloured the flower with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. Clear embossed the flower, next I stamped over the image with SU's Sanded backgrounder and a Script backgrounder stamp using Close t Cocoa ink. I stamped the So Saffron panel and the Kraft base card with the Sanded and Script BG. Sponged and distressed all edges. Matted the flower panel with Rich Razzleberry and Dusty Durango card stock. Sewed edges of flower panel. Stamped sentiment and punched out the circle. Attached brass hardware and sentiment with white lace ribbon. Attached the mini brads.
I am very pleased with how this turned out. The sketch I used is from Splitcoast Stampers #SC281 and the colours are from challenge #CC271.

FUN IN THE SUN

Happy Sunday everyone. Today over at Splitcoast Stampers - Cathleen Torina (aka ctorina) has the honour of being this weeks featured stamper. I chose THIS cute card of hers to case. I haven't used my house images for awhile and I had the perfect image to use today.
This also works for the House Mouse & Friends challenge #69 - distressing.

The adorable House Mouse image I used is called "Bunny Cruise", I water coloured the image with Stampin Up reinkers. Clear embossed the drink glass and inner tube. Sponged on the clouds - using the edge of a round scalloped circle. I ran a piece of blue card stock through the Cuttlebug using the Divine Swirls folder, tore it into two strips to make the waves. I cut the surf boards from some DCWV dp I had. Added gold liquid pearls to the Palm tree coconuts. Assembled the card, sewed edges. I used a Sun stamp from Studio G - stamped it over the HM and Palm tree panels. Punched out the 1" circle, sponged edges, printed sentiment, added the dots and stickles. Popped up the sun. Curled the torn waves and added stickles to the water...

Totally Stampalicious Monday Colour Challenge card

It time for another Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge... Vicki came up with this fabulous colour combination - Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip and Not Quite Navy (dark teal).
I thought these colours would make a great masculine card - this is the first time I have used this fun TS image "Farmer Hawg". I coloured the image with prismacolour pencil crayons and gamsol. I also used the out of the box technique - several parts of the image are outside the rectangle shape. I ran the creamy caramel panel through the cuttlebug with the paisley embossing folder.

Don't forget about the awesome the T.S. "BLOG HOP" to launch their new release of their new line of Bugaboo stamps on April 22nd starting at 9:00 pm EST - that means "Prizes".

I wanted to case one of Sue Titilo's cards as she was QFTD05 - "QUEEN FOR THE DAY" over at Splitcoast Stampers. Here is the card of Sue's that I cased - it was a Totally Stampalicious sketch challenge. I kept a similar layout, used the same image, 3 buttons, and scalloped edge.

I used last weeks sketch SC276 from Splitcoast Stampers, plus the ways to use it challenge - Out side the box and embossing F4A8 .

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious for this weeks challenge - check out what the other DT members came up with to inspire you.

TSMONDAY23, With Enough Caffeine...

Hope you all had a fabulous Easter Holiday. I was lucky enough to see all three of my grown children and a couple of my grand daughters.... My DH cooked me an absolutely delicious dinner - lucky, lucky me.

For today's Totally Stampalicious blog challenge I came up with this weeks challenge - to make an Easel style card. I love how these cards look and are fairly easy to make. Here is a wonderful tutorial given by Beate Johns on Splitcoast Stampers.
I used the Totally Stampalicious "Coffee Brawd" set on my Easel card. I coloured Coffee Brawd with Prisma colour pencil crayons. Cut out image. Cut out square chocolate frame using two different sized square nestabilities. Cut a square of white card stock and vellum. Ran the vellum square through crimper to give it a textured look. Matted panel with pink card stock. Sewed frame with a wandering stitch. I matted the Debbie Mumm Paisely dp with a textured brown and pink card stock. Used large scalloped border punch on the paisely and pink upper panel. Cut a thin brown strip for the scalloped panel. Sewed edges and strip. Made my crushed scalloped flower using the pink, brown and paisley dp. Cut out scallops with nestabilities and cuttlebug dies. Cut out the Sizzlet leaves. Sewed on button center. Stamped sentiments one white acrylic water coloured paper in close to cocoa. Cut out one of the sentiments with oval nestability. Sponged edges. I stamped the coffee mugs onto paisley dp and cut out with exacto knife. The "Java Junkie" sentiment was cut out using my Cuttlebug letter dies. Ran the letters through the Xyron sticker machine. Assembled card. I used this sketch that I saw on the Delightful Sketches blog.
Below is a closeup of the top part of my Easel Card.
Below is a close up of the bottom section of the Easel card.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious for this weeks challenge. Make sure to check out what the other very talented DT members have come up with to inspire you.

This also works for this weeks challenge over at Our Creative Corner - to use buttons.

Hello... here is another multi-challenge card... Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge (so saffron, basic grey, bermuda bay or tempting turquoise), technique challenge - complete the inside and outside of your card, ways to use it challenge - "Sweet child", March fan club theme - "all creatures great and small", Sew Many Challenges - use punches, and I used "Tuesday Morning Sketches" sketch by Melissa Craig. I cut a scalloped circle into quarters and used 1 quarter of it to make my corner tab. Attached the Stampin up filigree flower brads. All panels were stitched. Assembled card. Applied Stickles to the brads, bow, patches and to parts of the dp. I completed the inside of the card.

This Eggs For You

Happy Monday everyone.... I am so happy to be finally playing with my House Mouse images again and making a card in honour of my sweet Splitcoast Stampers friend "Pat Smethers" - she was chosen on Saturday to be "Queen for the Day". We were to case one of her cards - it is kind of intimidating because she makes the most beautiful cards. I cased this adorable card "Tea for Lindsay" . She used a super cute House Mouse image on her card - she loves her HM images. I wanted to use one on mine as well. I chose to make an Easter card - this works for the challenge over at House Mouse and Friends - Easter theme. It has been awhile since I coloured up a House Mouse image and I do so love to colour them.
Another challenge at Splitcoast Stampers - today's Technique challenge was to finish the inside of your card... I try to do this when I've finished the card - but most times it doesn't happen. I must try to complete the card - inside and out - then it is ready to use... The fan club theme this month is "All creatures great and small"... Well my little old House Mouse is perfect for their challenge.... :)
