Bon Voyage

Happy Sunday everyone... Here is a card I made for House Mouse and Friends challenge #70 -
"Goodbye/Farewell" and their very first Blog Hop. This is also made for today's featured stamper challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. Emily (aka "scoopy") is being honoured - Here is the cute card I cased "Little Bunny".

The adorable House Mouse image I used is called "Together Under the Moon". I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx black ink, heat set and then coloured image with markers and reinkers. Clear embossed the image, sponged on the ground and sky. I stamped the River Rock background (Stampin Up - Inspired by Nature) with Versamark ink and clear embossed. Image and matting were cut out with Nestabilities.

Thanks for stopping by,

Happy stamping and creating...

Live with passion....

Happy Sunday everyone.... I made this card for several challenges... I used Our Creative Corners sketch for my layout. This is also for Splitcoast Stampers Featured stamper challenge --- today we are honouring Nikki (aka NCSUnikki) here is the beautiful card of Nikki's that I cased.

I used Michelle Zindorf's technique on my card - here is her tutorial that I used to colour/stamp my flower. I used three different Stampin Up stamp sets to make my card - Inspired by Nature - sentiment, Baroque Motifs - background flourish and the flower is from Fifth Avenue Floral.

Thank you for stopping by,

Inspired by Karen B Barber

Happy Monday everyone... I made this card yesterday -my second of the day - for Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper Challenge... FS155 - Karen B Barber - make sure to check out her amazing gallery - she is one talented artist. Here is the card that inspired me - "Black and white magic". Karen is known for her beautiful cards using the black magic technique. Here is a tutorial given by Karen for the Black magic technique with a twist. I have only made one other card using it. I love the stamp she used "Inspired by Nature" so it was the perfect choice for me to case. I stamped the image using craft white ink onto chocolate chip card stock. Coloured the flowers with prisma colour pencil crayons. Used white gel pen to apply the dots. Made the little fence with a Martha Stewart punch. Scored lines, folded and sponged edges with chocolate chip to highlight the individual boards.

Recipe:

Stamps - Stampin Up - Inspired by Nature
Paper - Recollections - Autumn, Stampin Up - chocolate chip, more mustard, white
Ink - Stampin Up - craft white, chocolate chip
Accessories - sewing machine, Martha Stewart border punch, ribbon, white gel pen, prisma colour pencil crayons, pop dots, sponge

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy stamping and creating,

Hugs - Pat

FS112, 0CCC, Love is - a romantic evening gazing at the stars together

Congratulation's Michelle (aka JustPaintingAround) on being this weeks featured stamper on Splitcoast Stampers... Love your gallery...
I combined the featured stamper challenge #FS112 and used the colour challenge from Our Creative Corner - bashful blue, not quite navy and more mustard.
I chose to case this beautiful card of Michelle's. I love the cute House Mouse image - Together under the Stars and the Zindorf technique she used.
For the featured stamper challenge you are to change at least two things - I changed the background stamp, the shape of the card, colours, added ribbon, brads, sewing and used three window tag punches instead of one.
Main image was stamped on glossy white card stock in stazon jet black. I coloured the leaves, tails and faces with Stampin up markers (blush blossom and old olive), I water coloured the mice and moon.. used basic grey ink. Used versamark pen on stamped image and clear embossed. Masked the sky section and sponged more mustard on ground. Masked ground and sponged on bashful blue, then sponged on not quite navy leaving a lighter section under the moon. Added stars with white gel pen. Matted with bashful blue, not quite navy and more mustard. Main card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. Stamped Inspired by Nature leaves onto bashful blue card stock with bashful blue ink. Shadow stamped Not quite navy leaves over the bashful blue leaves. Next I stamped over the leaves with Sanded backgrounder in old olive. Inked edges with NQN. Sewed around edges. Tied on the Blue felt ribbon (purchased at Michael's for $1.00). Punched out three tags with SU window punch, used crop o dile to punch hole in tag, attached gold jump ring. Added the light blue brads. Popped up main image and bottom panel...

Congratulations Stacy (Twinshappy) - FS110

Congratulations Stacy (aka Twinshappy) on being this weeks featured stamper over on Splitcoast Stampers. I have always admired Stacy's stamping style and she is also on the House Mouse and Friends design team with me.... Hugs Stacy, enjoy your time in the spotlight....
Here is the beautiful card that I chose to case. I kept the stame theme and layout, changed the image, colours, omitted the sentiment, added the piercings.

My husband and I are travelling to San Diego, California right now, stopped in Modesto for the night. I had to check to see if the FS was up on the website yet, YES it was. So of course, I just had to make my card before I could sleep, otherwise I would have been tossing and turning all night - you know what I mean :) .

I brought along minimal stamping supplies on the trip - but wanted to get in some stamping. The featured stamper challenge is one of my favourite challenges. I did just happen to have the Inspired by Nature image already coloured - just needed to find the co-ordinating colours and designer paper in my stash. I purchased the teal felt flower ribbon at Michael's yesterday - how lucky was that - it matched my image perfectly.

P.S. - My DH and I are heading over to Clovis, CA this afternoon to visit my SCS sister - Pat Smethers and her DH known as the Buckleman on SCS... we will be VISITING and of course STAMPING..... :)

Thanks for stopping by....
Have a wonderful day...
Patricia

Pretty Flowers Just for You

Hello everyone.... Today I combined two challenges. One from SCS -colour challenge CC207 - Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun and Kiwi Kiss (old olive) and one from Our Creative Corner - to use tags.
I coloured my "Inspired by Nature" stamp with Stampin Up markers, spritzed the back of it with water, then stamped onto watercolour paper. Sponged edges with old olive. Matted image with Summer Sun. The fence is chocolate chip - I used my Stampin Up scalloped border punch, I ran the fence through the Cuttlebug with the distressed lines folder. Attached the ribbon and then sewed around the edge. I made my tag out of Summer Sun paper using a Cuttlebug tag die. Stamped sentiment - from the Fresh Cuts set - in chocolate chip. Sponged edges of tag with chocolate chip. Added the eyelet with my Crop o dile. Punched small holes on either side of the flower stem and tied on the tag. Main card is old olive. Flower panel is popped up with foam tape.
Happy Stamping,have a great day.
