Owl be Thinking of You

Happy Tuesday everyone.... I'm a little late uploading my card today - I was babysitting my twin grand babies for about 5 hours. My sister, Valerie-Raye, and I brought the twins back to my house so that their Mommy could catch up on some much deserved sleep.

I made this card for the Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT133. Some of us will be sending our cards to Marie - the sister of a SCS/teapotter Philsmom (Fran). Marie is a quadriplegic as a result of progressive MS. We are hoping that our cards will bring a little cheer into her day. Marie loves owls - this was the theme of today's challenge.

QFTD47 - Sag you're it and Hogs and Kisses

This week over at Splitcoast Stampers Bev Barton was crowned "Queen for the Day". My grand daughter, Nico, was have a sleep over and wanted to make a Valentine's Day card for her Mommy and Daddy. Here is Bev's adorable card that we cased called "Cupid". Nico picked out the fun "Hogs and Kisses" stamp and the colours. She coloured the image by herself using Gramma's special markers. She cuttlebugged the pink panel with the heart folder, she crimped the pink middle panel. Cut out the nesty scalloped rectangle and with Gramma's help she sewed the card and made sure her fingers didn't get in the way of the needle :)
She found the little red hearts on my stamping table and wanted to use them on the card. She glued them down and added Stickles to the three little hearts and the big heart one of the pigs is holding. She gave the card to her Mommy when she was picked up this afternoon - was her Mommy ever happy and proud of the card Nico made for her... :)

I cased this "Party Chick" card of Bev's. I loved the image and layout of her card. I didn't have her fancy lady, but I did have this fun Bugaboo Stella Sews image already coloured and ready to use. My SCS sister Pat Smethers sent me this hilarious sentiment in a birthday card. The designer paper is from a Martha Stewart 12x12 pack.

Flying by to say "Hello"

Happy Tuesday everyone... I made this card for the Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT132 - over at Splitcoast Stampers and it also worked for this weeks colour challenge as well.

This week our card destination is to Kearney, Nebraska - to Sean, a young man battling testicular cancer. We were asked to bring, planes, balloons, kites etc.. anything that flys.

I had this wonderful airplane sticker in my stash and it worked perfectly for today's challenge and it's colours are close enough to this weeks colour challenge, night of navy, Cajun craze, daffodil delight. I just purchased the designer paper a couple of days ago - it came in a discounted paper pack from Michael's. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Hedgehog Happiness set.

Valentine's Day Shmalentine's Day

Hello.... Here is a card that I made for several challenges... As most of you know I am no longer on the design team for Totally Stampalicious, but I did have a heads up on what today's challenges was going to be - Use at least three HEARTS on your card or project... As you can see mine does have a lot more than that :)

I also made this for the featured stamper challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. Lori Boyd (3bugs&me) has the honor this week. I cased this adorable card "Noelle Baby Bud". She used a sweet little baby girl and I used this old girl, "Stella - from the "Stupid Cupid" set.

Also, this is for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge C4C73 - to make a Valentine's Day card.

FS209, Happy Valentine's Day

It's time for one of my favorite challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers. Lori Boyd (3bugs&me) has this weeks honor. The adorable image I used was drawn by Lori Boyd herself - she drew this image for the "Help for Katie" fundraiser. Katie Renz was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer, she has a loving husband and three young boys. Katie is a fellow fellow crafter and is loved within the crafting community. You can read Katie's story on her own blog HERE.
This is the adorable card of Lori's that I cased "For Mommy".

This also for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge #C4C73 - to make a Valentine's day card.

QFTD46, Treat me like a QUEEN

Hello everyone... yeah - my work week is over!!! Now I have three days off - some family time and some crafting time. Hubby will be watching the Super Bowl tomorrow.

Here is a card I made for a few challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers. Queen for the Day -
Susan (One4Joy) was passed the Crown this week. She is Queen #46. Here is the fun card of Susan's that I cased "Ripped from the pages of the latest" . I used this weeks sketch layout, Monday's technique - heat embossing on dry embossing, the Free for All - mostly monochromatic and Ways to use it - Hearts. The fun image is from Bugaboo Stamps - Stella Sewing "Needle Queen". Image was coloured with Tombow and Stampin up markers. The red designer paper was dry embossing with Polka dot folder. Next I brayered Versamark ink lightly over the raised dots. Sprinkled on red Tinsel embossing powder and heat embossed. The sentiments is from Stampin Up - 2010 Summer Mini catalogue.
