Punchart Easter Bunny cards

HAPPY EASTER... I hope you are all enjoying your day with family and friends.
Here are a few cards my Grand daughters and I made for Easter. Here is where I got the idea for the Punch Art Easter Bunnies. I thought it would be fun to make these with the grand daughters.
Our destination this week for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT142 is to Winnipeg, Canada. I will be sending my card off to Kay, who is the Grand mother of a fellow Splitcoast Stamper. Kay turns 91 on June 5th (my birthday too) - Kay fell and broke her elbow in February and is still in the hospital. We are sending our cards to her to help cheer her up.

Below is my grand daughters, Nico and Kayla. With a little help from me - the girls and I made these cards for their Mommy and Daddy for Easter.

My other grand daughter Kylana came over later in the day, so of course we had to make an Easter card for her parents and little sister, Kaylee.

The challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges is to make an Easter card this weeks. Challenge C4C82.

Thanks for stopping by,

Teapot Tuesday Baby Shower

Happy Tuesday everyone.... Well it's time for another fun Splitcoast Stampers Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT130. Cindy (aka Mothermark) is throwing a baby shower for my twin grandbabies who were born January 6th.

It's Pink and it's Blue!
It's all about Two!
Throw a monkey in there two!
Oh my goodnes, who knew!

One sweet little girl (Sydney) and one handsome little man (Austin). The picture at the very top is of their big sister, Kayla, holding her adorable little sister and brother. Isn't she just the proudest big sister you ever saw.
Below are the Easel card cards I made for the Grandbabies. It took me soooo long to make these. I was busy designing when I should have been sleeping, trying to figure out how to make the lamp shade, and then putting it all together was fun too. Plus it took a while to get a fairly decent picture. I am very pleased with how they turned out.

The Sock Monkey images are from Bugaboo Stamps. The one above is called "Sock Monkey Girl Sitting" and the one below is called "My little Sock Monkey car"

Thanks for popping in,
Happy stamping and creating,
Hugs.. Pat

Totally Stampalicous challenge - tickle your funny bone

It's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge - this week we are to get in touch with our funny bone and see if we can make somebody laugh. I used the new rubber "Nurse Stella" from Totally Stampalicious. Previously you were only able to purchase this image from Bugaboo stamps in digi form. Totally Stampalicious has turned Eight of Bugaboo's digi images into rubber/acrylic. I coloured the image with prismacolour pencil crayons and gamsol, plus I used an orange Martha Stewart marker.
Make sure to check out the Totally Stampalicious blog for more humours inspiration from the amazingly talented DT members.

This card also qualifies for the CAS challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers - to make a CAS card using orange - Jen's favourite colour.

TSMONDAY23, With Enough Caffeine...

Hope you all had a fabulous Easter Holiday. I was lucky enough to see all three of my grown children and a couple of my grand daughters.... My DH cooked me an absolutely delicious dinner - lucky, lucky me.

For today's Totally Stampalicious blog challenge I came up with this weeks challenge - to make an Easel style card. I love how these cards look and are fairly easy to make. Here is a wonderful tutorial given by Beate Johns on Splitcoast Stampers.
I used the Totally Stampalicious "Coffee Brawd" set on my Easel card. I coloured Coffee Brawd with Prisma colour pencil crayons. Cut out image. Cut out square chocolate frame using two different sized square nestabilities. Cut a square of white card stock and vellum. Ran the vellum square through crimper to give it a textured look. Matted panel with pink card stock. Sewed frame with a wandering stitch. I matted the Debbie Mumm Paisely dp with a textured brown and pink card stock. Used large scalloped border punch on the paisely and pink upper panel. Cut a thin brown strip for the scalloped panel. Sewed edges and strip. Made my crushed scalloped flower using the pink, brown and paisley dp. Cut out scallops with nestabilities and cuttlebug dies. Cut out the Sizzlet leaves. Sewed on button center. Stamped sentiments one white acrylic water coloured paper in close to cocoa. Cut out one of the sentiments with oval nestability. Sponged edges. I stamped the coffee mugs onto paisley dp and cut out with exacto knife. The "Java Junkie" sentiment was cut out using my Cuttlebug letter dies. Ran the letters through the Xyron sticker machine. Assembled card. I used this sketch that I saw on the Delightful Sketches blog.
Below is a closeup of the top part of my Easel Card.
Below is a close up of the bottom section of the Easel card.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious for this weeks challenge. Make sure to check out what the other very talented DT members have come up with to inspire you.

This also works for this weeks challenge over at Our Creative Corner - to use buttons.

HMF#56 - America's card kit challenge

Happy House Mouse Monday everyone... For this weeks HM challenge, the very talented America sent the DT members a CARD KIT full of brown and cream papers, textured papers, flourish die cuts, pearls, charms, bling, ribbon and silver cording. We were to make a card using as much or as little as we wanted from the kit, and to use our own tools and colouring mediums. She did ask us to use at least one of the adorable mouse charms.

As it would be impossible to send you all a kit we would like you to have a look at what America sent us and try to reproduce the kit. But not to worry if it is not exactly the same or even if you only have a few items that you can use.

Plus there is a fabulous prize this week from HOUSE MOUSE DESIGNS. A $25.00 gift voucher. Please see the rules on the side bar on the House Mouse Monday Challenge blog for your chance to win.

Plus - America has a small prize she is offering up.. A Baggie full of Silver Beautiful Adorable Quality Charms... Check out her blog for more details..

Below is a picture of the card kit.

Below is what I came up with. I believe I made one itty bitty mistake - I used a Martha Stewart mouse border on the top of my card... I had just purchased this punch and wanted to use it. After I assembled and glued my card together I reread the rules... sorry America :(

I made an Easel style card... you can find directions here and here. I coloured this sweet House Mouse image "Pumpkin Pie" with Prismacolour pencil crayons and gamsol. Clear embossed the chocolate pie, applied white liquid applique to the top for the whip cream... I cut out the image and layered it over top base image. I drew in the wall paneling lines and base boards. Sponged edges. I cut the polka dot dp, brown and cream textured papers into 1 1/2" squares. Next I cut the brown and white squares into triangles and made my background patterns. The squares were layered over a 5 1/4" brown square and sewed on. I layered the cream and brown flourishes. Assembled main Easel panel. Added the pearls to the flourish and image panel. Made the sentiment panel. Made the bow with chocolate ribbon and silver cording. Tied on the adorable mouse charm.... Thank you America for the wonderful card kit... there is so much left over to make a few more cards from all those yummy goodies and the extra charms...

Please hop on over to House Mouse and Friends and check out what the other talented DT members came up with from America's card kit... And we can't wait to see what you come up with....

This also qualifies for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge - to make an Easel card...
