Totally Stampalicious - Splash of Red

It is time for another Totally Stampalicious Monday challenge. This weeks challenge is to use a splash of RED on your card or project... I think I went a little overboard with the red :)
You can use whatever other colours you want but we want to see your splash of red.
There is a prize up for grabs this week - one of the new TS stamp sets being released this Thursday, July 15th and it has something to do with the colour red.

Be sure to join us over at Totally Stampalious for our blog hop and release Thursday, July 15th. As always there will be FABULOUS PRIZES up for grabs and you will see what stamp set you could win by playing in this weeks challenge

I used this fun image from Totally Stampalicious called "Gus and Stella". I love the fun image and humorous sentiments that come with this stamp set...

This card qualifies for the challenge over at Our Creative Corners - get corky. The background panel is cork - I drew in the vines and heart flowers with my Tombow Markers.
It is also for two challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers - Queen for the Day #QFTD16 (Dorothy aka etsdas) - Here is her fun Anniversary card that I cased. Plus todays technique challenge - #TLC281 - embossing on embossing.

I stamped Gus and Stella with Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured with Tombow Markers. Clear embossed their glasses. Stamped the sentiment and punched out with Stampin Up window punch - edged the sentiment with red marker. Matted image with real red and chocolate chip, rounded corners with large corner rounder. Stamped bottom sentiment on real red cardstock and clear embossed. Stamped mesh pattern overtop of sentiment with versamark ink and clear embossed. Dry embossed with Swiss dot folder. Punched scalloped border on the red and brown bottom strip. Image panel is popped up. Base card is cream next is chocolate chip, real red and then the cork panel.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious, make sure to check out what the DT members have come up with to inspire you.

Thanks for stopping by,
Happy Stamping and creating,

Hugs.. Pat

Waltzing with my Darling

Well the big panic is on to try and get ready for Christmas.... I don't know why but I always leave everything until the last minute... I really don't have a lot of time to stamp and play - but one of my favourite challenges at Splitcoast Stampers is the Featured Stamper challenge...
Brenda (aka Benzi) is being honoured today. Here is the cute card of her's that I cased "Fabric kind of morning".
I received that fun image from Pat Smethers - (Art Impressions). I water coloured the image, stamped on the grass (Stampin Up - Water colour Mini), matted image with more mustard and black. The plaid background is a piece of flannel, I taped it onto card stock and the stitched edges. Wrapped raffia around two corners and attached the gingham brads. I added the black panel behind the image, plus tilted my image, placed feathers behind image panel.
I will be giving this card to my dear Husband for our Anniversary at the end of the month.

Thanks for stopping by,
Happy creating,

Hugs - Pat

HMF#46 - no colouring

Happy Monday all you House Mouse & Friends Lovers.... America has issued us our challenge for today -
NO COLOURING of any kind. You can not use any kind of colouring medium - no pencil crayons, water colors, chalks etc. You can use coloured or patterned papers and whatever other colourful embellishments you would like to add, as long as you don't colour anything. Nothing at
all - no HM&F images or any other image, no scenes or backgrounds.

Here is my take on the challenge...

I made this mini photo album for this challenge. I will be giving this to my parents for their 57th Wedding Anniversary. It measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2". I used this adorable House Mouse Image called "Sunflower Smooch on the album cover. No colouring mediums were used.. all parts of the image were paper pieced. I stamped the mice on creamy caramel cardstock, sunflower was stamped on harvest - white core textured cardstock and the stem on a pale green designer paper. I used my exacto knife to cut between the mice and into the sunflower and around the leaves. I stamped the stem and leaves twice, so I could layer (paper tole) the image. I also used my embossing tool and rubbed on the back of the images to give them more dimension. For the mini album cover I used a textured basic brown card stock. I made 4 pages for inside the album. I sewed the pages into book - 1/4" in on left side. The designer paper is from Paper Pizzaz called Barnwood - I matted the dp with kraft cardstock. Sponged edges with basic brown. Made the center square 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Sewed edges with brown thread. Attached the Smooching Mice, attached the brown gingham bow with a brad. Attached the corner tab, hinges and "Love" brad sentiment.
Below is picture of my parents on their wedding day.
Below is a picture of my sweet Mother holding my older brother Michael.
Below is a picture of my siblings and me - many years ago - Celebrating Christmas

There are 5 more pages to the mini album. I am very, very pleased with how this turned out.
Please make sure you check out what the other House Mouse & Friends DT members have come up with to inspire you. Remember to use at least one House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffies image on your card or project.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my little piece of the blogging world. '

Tails of True Love - HM&F #40

Happy Monday everyone. Over at House Mouse & Friends Mary has challenged us to make a Wedding or Anniversary card, invitation, gift box - anything with that theme.
This week we are being sponsor by our very own Emma - her Store is called Sassy Crafts

below are the prizes she is offering

-above is Bartender Edwin
-below is Tilda on Promenade

Below is my take on the challenge...

First I want to thank Gwen Fisher (aka tturtle) for this adorable image. It is called "Tails of True Love" HMG1009. I water coloured the image with Stampin Up reinkers. Image and matting was cut out with plain and scalloped nestabilities. Main card is 5"x5" very vanilla. Next is antique rose, then chocolate chip. I ran the chocolate chip panel through the CB with the Swiss dot folder. I used the heart embossing folder on the pink pirouette panel, sponged edges with pretty in pink. The designer paper is from Heidi Grace designs - Cherish & Love. I thought it was the perfect choice for this card. I used my Stampin up scalloped border punch. Sewed edges. Attached the pink sheer ribbon and the little pink pearls (I bought these at the Dollar Store - 35 for $1.00 - awesome deal) . Finished the inside and I'm done. I am very happy with how this turned out.
Below is the inside of my card. Haven't decided on a sentiment yet.

Here is a close up of the card - different angle.

Now it's your turn. Please check out the DT's cards and blogs for some inspiration. Make sure to upload your card on House Mouse & Friends and leave a comment... Happy Stamping.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my little piece of the blogging world.

FS119, CC218, Love 2 Love

Congratulations Joan Ervin on being this weeks featured stamper "FS119" over at Splitcoast Stampers. I absolutely love your gallery.... there were so many fabulous cards to choose from. I finally settled on casing this adorable card "Love is in the air". I also combined this weeks SCS colour challenge "CC218" - summer sun, only orange and kiwi kiss (old olive). I changed the image, colours, ribbon and sentiment placement. I sewed instead of doodling.
I stamped this adorable House Mouse image (Sunflower Smooch) while visiting Pat Smethers earlier this year and I received the sentiment from America... Thanks Pat and America. I water coloured the image using Stampin Up reinkers.
Happy Stamping, thanks for stopping by.

FS112, 0CCC, Love is - a romantic evening gazing at the stars together

Congratulation's Michelle (aka JustPaintingAround) on being this weeks featured stamper on Splitcoast Stampers... Love your gallery...
I combined the featured stamper challenge #FS112 and used the colour challenge from Our Creative Corner - bashful blue, not quite navy and more mustard.
I chose to case this beautiful card of Michelle's. I love the cute House Mouse image - Together under the Stars and the Zindorf technique she used.
For the featured stamper challenge you are to change at least two things - I changed the background stamp, the shape of the card, colours, added ribbon, brads, sewing and used three window tag punches instead of one.
Main image was stamped on glossy white card stock in stazon jet black. I coloured the leaves, tails and faces with Stampin up markers (blush blossom and old olive), I water coloured the mice and moon.. used basic grey ink. Used versamark pen on stamped image and clear embossed. Masked the sky section and sponged more mustard on ground. Masked ground and sponged on bashful blue, then sponged on not quite navy leaving a lighter section under the moon. Added stars with white gel pen. Matted with bashful blue, not quite navy and more mustard. Main card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. Stamped Inspired by Nature leaves onto bashful blue card stock with bashful blue ink. Shadow stamped Not quite navy leaves over the bashful blue leaves. Next I stamped over the leaves with Sanded backgrounder in old olive. Inked edges with NQN. Sewed around edges. Tied on the Blue felt ribbon (purchased at Michael's for $1.00). Punched out three tags with SU window punch, used crop o dile to punch hole in tag, attached gold jump ring. Added the light blue brads. Popped up main image and bottom panel...

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Stamping
