HMF#58 - Using non traditional Christmas Colours

Happy Monday to all you House Mouse Lovers. This weeks challenge was issued by Lisa - to use Non Traditional Colours on your Christmas card or project.

Below is a close up of Santa's Little Helper.
I made a Stocking Gift Card Holder. Here is the link for the template from Claire (aka Waltzingmouse) on Splitcoast Stampers.
I water coloured "Santa's Helper", clear embossed the ornament and added white fun flocking to his hat.
Make sure to hop on over to House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge blog to see what the other talented DT members have come up with to inspire you.
If you join us for the challenge and upload it to the blog, make sure you use at least on House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffies image on your card/project.

Merry & Bright

Here's is a card I made for Our Creative Corners Sketch Challenge and yesterday's Splitcoast Stampers Featured stamper challenge #FS147. Here is the card of MrsBoz (CarollAnne) that I cased.

I stamped my adorable House Mouse image (Having A Ball) using Stazon black ink onto some Shrinky Dink. Coloured images with Prismacolour pencil crayons. I punched out circles with nestabilities, then shrunk the images. Stamped ornaments onto a textured white card stock. Coloured images then cut out circles from ornaments. I made the upper border. Added liquid applique and Diamond stickles. Stamped on my Merry & Bright sentiment. Coloured the sentiment with old olive and real red. I placed the two shrinky dinks onto a piece of white card stock and placed behind image panel using pop dots so that the shrinky dinks would be recessed. Applied stickles to white dp for sparkly snow.

Recipe:

Stamps: - Stampabilities House Mouse - Having a Ball - HMC1005, Oranaments and Sentiment were purchased at Michael's
Ink: - Stazon jet black, Stampin Up Old Olive, Real Red
Paper: - Stampin Up - pacific point, textured white, real red
Accessories: - Shrinky Dinks - Frosted ruff N' Ready, Martha Stewart leaf punch, Stampin Up scalloped border punch, Sewing machine, Liquid Applique, Diamond Stickles, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, brads, pop dots.

Blissful Winter Wonderland by DGD Kayla

I just wanted to share this with you..... Here is a picture of my sweet Granddaughter - Kayla. Holding Christmas cards she made for her Mommy and Daddy (with a little help from Gramma Rose). Kayla picked out the stamps and colours she wanted to use. She stamped her images then Gramma cut the out for her and the dp's. Kayla put the tape on back of images and dp, then assembled card. She picked out the red rhinestones for her Mommy's card and we glued them on. Doesn't she look so proud of herself..... Great job Kayla... Mommy and Daddy are going to love getting these from You.....

Hugs.... Gramma Rose

Wishing you a Joyful Merry Christmas

Happy Monday everyone.... Here is a card I made for yesterday's SCS Featured stamper challenge... CarollAnne (aka MrsBoz) is this weeks FS. Make sure to check out her amazing SCS gallery... Here is the card I cased - "Cool Dude".

This was a fairly simple card to make. I stamped my cute image using Stazon Jet Black onto Whisper White cardstock. Coloured with Stampin up makers and shaded snowman with Soft Sky. Added Diamond Stickles to the ground snow and some one the DP. Matted image with SU Bermuda Bay and white. Attached the snowflake with a mini brad. The snowflake DP is thin and I wanted to pop it up to give the card more Dimension. I cut out a piece of white cardstock to fit behind dp. I sewed all edges of card. Stamped sentiment. Pierced holes in front of sentiment.
Recipe:
Stamps: My Heart Stamps for you (Snowman and Penguins), Recollections - Merry Merry
Ink: Stampin up - more mustard, bashful blue, old olive, soft sky, Stazon Jet Black
Paper: Textured white, Whisper white, Bermuda Bay, Snowflake DP
Accessories: Diamond Stickles, Sewing machine, Snowflake, piercing tool, mini brad, Pop Dots, aquapainter
