TSMONDAY23, With Enough Caffeine...

Hope you all had a fabulous Easter Holiday. I was lucky enough to see all three of my grown children and a couple of my grand daughters.... My DH cooked me an absolutely delicious dinner - lucky, lucky me.

For today's Totally Stampalicious blog challenge I came up with this weeks challenge - to make an Easel style card. I love how these cards look and are fairly easy to make. Here is a wonderful tutorial given by Beate Johns on Splitcoast Stampers.
I used the Totally Stampalicious "Coffee Brawd" set on my Easel card. I coloured Coffee Brawd with Prisma colour pencil crayons. Cut out image. Cut out square chocolate frame using two different sized square nestabilities. Cut a square of white card stock and vellum. Ran the vellum square through crimper to give it a textured look. Matted panel with pink card stock. Sewed frame with a wandering stitch. I matted the Debbie Mumm Paisely dp with a textured brown and pink card stock. Used large scalloped border punch on the paisely and pink upper panel. Cut a thin brown strip for the scalloped panel. Sewed edges and strip. Made my crushed scalloped flower using the pink, brown and paisley dp. Cut out scallops with nestabilities and cuttlebug dies. Cut out the Sizzlet leaves. Sewed on button center. Stamped sentiments one white acrylic water coloured paper in close to cocoa. Cut out one of the sentiments with oval nestability. Sponged edges. I stamped the coffee mugs onto paisley dp and cut out with exacto knife. The "Java Junkie" sentiment was cut out using my Cuttlebug letter dies. Ran the letters through the Xyron sticker machine. Assembled card. I used this sketch that I saw on the Delightful Sketches blog.
Below is a closeup of the top part of my Easel Card.
Below is a close up of the bottom section of the Easel card.

I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicious for this weeks challenge. Make sure to check out what the other very talented DT members have come up with to inspire you.

This also works for this weeks challenge over at Our Creative Corner - to use buttons.

TSMONDAY20 - ESPRESSO YOURSELF GIFT CARD

Happy Monday everyone.... the challenge this week over at TOTALLY STAMPALICIOUS is to use a Coffee Theme (TSMONDAY20) on your card or project. Make sure to pop on over to the TS Blog and see a few cards and projects the DT came up with to inspire you. We would like you to use Totally Stampalicious stamps but if you don't have any you may use what you have. Also if you play along with us this week - one lucky person will win 1 digi set of choice.

The TOTALLY STAMPALICIOUS BLOG HOP was a success and all the winners have been posted over on the TS Blog - head on over there to see if you WON....

I made a gift card holder for today's challenge - My Totally Stampalicious Coffee Brawd is a digi image. I coloured her with Prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I stamped the "java" sentiment onto Close to Cocoa Stampin Up card stock, added some tiny dots with marker and also stamped some tiny swirls for Stampin Up Fresh Fillers set onto the CC. Here is a tutorial on the Hero Arts blog on how to make this gift card holder.

Below is the inside of my gift card holder.. I stamped the coffee cup onto Close to Cocoa card stock and cut it out. Attached it to the middle panel. I really like how this turned out. Hope you do to.
The sketch I used for the outside is from "Lord Have Mercy" blog. Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge #64 (MTSC64). It was perfect for my card layout.

Recipe:

Stamps: Totally Stampalicious - Coffee Brawd, Stampin Up - Fresh Fillers

Paper: Stampin Up - Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, non SU textured brown, DCWV - Sweet MatStack, Bubblegum

Ink: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Sewing machine, computer, Matpack, brads, Stampin Up scalloped border punch, pop dots, Prisma colour pencil crayons, gamsol and blending stumps.

Thanks for stopping by my little piece of the blogging world.
Happy stamping and creating,

Hugs.... Pat

You haven't had enough coffee until ----

Here is my card for Our Creative Corners colour challenge - to use yellow, pink, green and brown. Also for today's Feature Stamper challenge FS162 over at Splitcoast Stampers. Kristen aka "mommylvs2stamp" is today's FS. Here is the cute, yummy card of hers that I cased called "Bakery Window". The mugs are from the newly released stamp set "Coffee Brawd" from Totally Stampalicious, plus I used the words from a sentiment in that same stamp set. I redid the sentiment on my computer to fit my card layout. This new stamp set has so many fun sayings and I love the Coffee Brawd image....

I stamped the mug onto three different patterned papers (DCWV - Sweet Matstack and Mary Engelbreigt DP) and cut them out. Coloured the base and rim with chocolate chip SU marker. Punched out a SU scalloped border strip and sewed on my sentiment. Attached the coffee cups with jump rings. The pink buttons were attached with mini white brads.

Base card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 acrylic paper. I cut a piece of the striped dp (Cloud 9 Design - Baby Girl Stripe) and used the SU ticket corner punch. Sponged edges with chocolate chip. Matted panel with chocolate chip.Attached the mini white brads to the corners. I cut a 2 1/2" piece of white acrylic paper and matted it with CC. Placed over Dp panel and sewed lines across white panel. Placed the sentiment and mugs over top. Mugs are popped up and is the main DP panel. Applied gold stickles to dp.

Here is a fun project I made using this fun new stamp set..

I made a coaster box. My "Coffee Brawd" images are Digi images. Coloured with Prisma Colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I purchased some coasters at Michael's ($1.50). Covered both sides of the coasters, used my large corner rounder - perfect match with the coasters - punched the corners before adhering. Punched holes with crop-o-dile. Ovals were cut using Spellbinders. I sanded the edge of the brown oval. Placed Coffee Brawd on oval and adhered to coaster box. Tied coasters together. Here is a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers to make the coaster boxes. I put some fine wood fibers in the bottom of the box. Bagged up some coffee beans, tied on the ribbon and "Espresso Yourself" tag.

Below is the second project I made - I altered the coil bound journal using this fun stamp set.
Here is a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers on how to alter and cover the journal/notebook.

I used the digi images for this - I used the coffee cup, cropped Coffee Brawd and the sentiment to fit inside the mug. Image was coloured with Prisma Colour pencil crayons and gamsol... I recover the inside and outside of the book... I am very pleased with how both of these projects turned out... I have lots of ideas for this fun stamp set...

Make sure to stop by all the DT blogs and leave comments... There are twelve prizes to give out...

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy stamping and creating.

Hugs... Pat
