HMF#61 - Cozy Wishes

HAPPY MONDAY everyone.... Over at House Mouse and Friends Blog - the challenge for the next two weeks was given by ME !!! Our challenge is to make a card or project with a "Faux Grid" somewhere on card/project. Here is a tutorial given by Dawn Griffiths (Dawn's Stamping Thoughts). Here is the gallery at Splitcoast Stampers that show you almost 150 cards or projects using this technique. I hope you will have fun with this challenge.

I just love this adorable Stampabilities - House Mouse - Happy Hopper image - "Will knit for friends". I coloured the image with prisma colour pencil crayons. Drew in the faux grid and coloured the squares. Matted image with white and black. Attached the black mini brads and tied on the little gingham ribbon/bow. Sentiment was computer generated. Base card is 5 1/2 x 6 1/2. I pierced holes all around the edge. I used two different pink designer papers for my background panel. Made the center strip and sewed edges and assembled card. I am very happy with how this turned out...

Now it's your turn... Please hop on over to the House Mouse and Friends blog and check out what the other very talented DT members have come up with to inspire you.

  4. Awwww... what a totally adorable card Pat! I just love all the ways you used the grid throughout your card. I really struggled with this one and, of course, ended up with my grid quilt! Oh well, it was a fun challenge after all my sweat and tears! :) You definitely ROCKED this challenge! hugz, Mary
