Happy Monday everyone. Yeah, we're back from our summer break and ready to start in with our challenges again at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge Blog. Janneke has given us this weeks challenge - to make a gift card holder.
Here is my take on the challenge.
I first saw this style of gift card on Splitcoast Stampers - it was for the technique challenge #TLC196. Here is a tutorial from The Hero Arts Blog on how to make this gift card.
I water coloured this adorable House Mouse image called "Santa's Little Helper". I applied white fun flock to the hat. Matted image with Stampin Up garden green and riding hood red cardstock. I purchased the Christmas designer paper from Michael's. Used the Snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder and matted with riding hood red. For one of the giftcards I used the Labels two Spellbinder die and the other a scalloped square. The little power tool is from a Novelty button package. On the other card I used two punched out snowflakes and added rhinestones to the center. Image panels are popped up. I finished off the insides with a green plaid dp and the Christmas dp.
Below is the second gift card I made.
Below is how the inside of the gift card looks.
I hope you will join us over at House Mouse and Friends. Make sure to check out what the other wonderfully talented design team members have come up with to inspire you and check out their blogs for more details.
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Stamping

We're having a TeaParty at MM's Lily Pond
I've been a little lax in uploading some of my cards... I had a few minutes tonight to add a few to my blog. I made this card last month - it is a colour challenge from Splitcoast Stampers #CC229 (certainly celery, pixie pink and apricot appeal) plus a technique challenge #TLC231 "Quilling" plus I wanted to join the girls at Mother Marks tea party she was having at her new lily pond, check out her blog for all the details.
My image is computer generated - I used my Print Master program to copy and paste image. I quilled the frogs tongue.... No stamps were used on this card....
Happy Stamping..

Happiness is Girlfriends
I saw this fun Penny Black image - "Chicky Night" while checking out Crafty Capers new store location... I just had to purchase it and of course... couldn't wait to make a card with it...
I used Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge #CC229 (certainly celery, pixie pink and appricot appeal) and combined it with several challenges from Dare to get Dirty DTGD09.
I coloured the chicks with Stampin Up reinkers, stamped some grass around their feet, added the pearls and tiny rhinestones for earrings. I stamped the very back panel with a tree image from Hero Arts and overlayed it with vellum. Stamped on the sentiment. Here is a link to my write up on SCS.
Below is a close up of the Chicks...
Happy Stamping.

FS132, OCCC, Mouse Joy
I combined today's Splitcoast Stampers Featured stamper challenge FS132 (Stamp Muse) and Our Creative Corners challenge (Christmas theme) in this card. Here is the fun Christmas card of Emily's that I cased . You are to change at least two things on your card. I used a different image and design. I kept the Christmas theme and similar colours, used the same CB embossing folder. I stamped the House Mouse image (Peppermint Pals) using Stazon timber brown and water coloured with Stampin Up reinkers. I clear embossed the candies. Matted image with old olive and real red. Sewed edges. Made the base card and tied on the ribbon. Both panels are popped up.
