Happy Wednesday everyone..... I wanted to share this with you... I just purchased this beautiful stamp set from Stampin Up called "Elements of Style" and couldn't wait to colour up these beautiful flowers. I made this for the colour challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers #CC273 - barely banana, garden green, close to cocoa and neutrals of choice.... I stamped my flowers onto watercolour paper with versamark and Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossed it. Water coloured my image with reinkers and Tombo markers. Sponged on clouds using Soft Sky. Cut out image with Topnote die and cut out a larger matting in black - with scissors. Stamped Hummingbird with Barely Banana and overstamped the head and tail with Really Rust. Coloured the beak and eye with black marker. Coloured the throat with white gel pen. Cut out hummingbird. Used embossing tool to give Hummer some dimension. Stamped the base Barely Banana panel with the flourished stamp using Barely Banana. Sponged all edges with Close to Cocoa. Sewed all edges. Stamped sentiment and cut out with nestabilities and black scalloped oval mat. Image panel, hummingbird and sentiment are all popped up.
Thanks for stopping by,
Happy stamping and creating.
Hugs.. Pat
