Peace on Earth

Happy Tuesday everyone. I created this card for this weeks sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers - SC415 and the challenge over at House Mouse and Friends - Let it Snow.  I love this cute House Mouse image - called "Sweet Music". I coloured the image with Tombow Markers. For the snow - I applied Stampin Up's Dazzling Diamonds and for the falling snow I used white liquid applique.   The sentiment was embossed with Teddy Bear Brown embossing powder.

Knitted socks for Jennifer

Here is a card I made a couple of weeks ago.  I have been very lax lately in posting my cards to my block. I made this card for a challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.  I just love this cute House Mouse stamp - called Warmth for Winter.  Image was coloured with Tombow Markers and cut out. Placed over the background I created.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up - from the Bird on a Branch set.

Retire from work - but not from life

I made this card for one of our close friends that is retiring. I love this image from Mo's Digital Stamps, called "Gone Fishing".   Image was coloured with Tombow markers. I saw this saying awhile ago and thought it was perfect for my card. I printed it out on the computer.

Hello! Here is my card for a couple of Splitcoast Stamper challenges. Ways to Use it - Round and Round - to use two or more circles in your project. I have used two Spellbinder circle dies and 10 mini circle brads. I made this for today's Hope You Can Cling Challenge given by Bridget. To be inspired by the poet - Emily Dickinson - Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words and never stops at all. Let your imagination fly with this, it can be anything that inspires you in this stanza about "hope" from Emily's poem, just let us know what it is in your card description - for example, your card could include birds , songs , music , or even something (anything!) "perching" . Or you could make a card without words ! It always leaves so much scope for the person sending the card as it can be used for any occasion!


I used this cute House Mouse image - Two part Harmony. Coloured image with stampin Up and Tombow markers. Masked image and sponged Barely Banana ink around image to give it a glow. Cut out image with circle spellbinder and matted with scalloped spellbinder. I've had a package of individual letter stamps for a long, long time and never used them. Today I made the word "Hope" stamping sentiment with Vintage Sepia Ink. I cased this beautiful card of Bridget's Hope Perches Thanks for the inspiration Bridget.

FUNKY SOCK MONKEY

My cute sock monkey image is from Meljen's Designs . I made the faux red embossed dp on the bottom of my card. I punched out circles and layered them overtop of the striped dp. The scrabble letters were cut out of a 12x12 piece of scrabble dp. I punched out circles from the polka dot dp and layered them over the base polka dot dp. Added diamond stickles. I made the scrabble funky sock monkey wording. the sock monkey image and the word "monkey" are popped up.

The Good Life

Hello... It has been a long time since I have posted to my blog.  I made this card for a few challenges. One is for the Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT204 over at Splitcoast Stampers - It's a cruise to Tee-heat-tea, Teapot Tuesday Style! Make cards with a nautical theme. tropical scenes, and all those refreshing drinks we will have on our cruise! The second one is  for House Mouse & Friends challenge HMF122 "Liquid Refreshments for Hot Summer Days". The cute House Mouse Designs image is called "Keeping Cool". 

My little House Mouse is relaxing on the beach in Tee-heat-tea - soaking up some lovely, warm sunshine. I sponged on the clouds using soft sky ink on the blue cardstock, next I stamped the palm image three times onto blue cardstock, and coloured in the leaves. Added gold liquid pearls to the trees (coconuts).
I stamped the HM image twice and coloured it with Stampin Up and Tombow markers. Cut out the Mouse and part of the umbrella and the sea shell. Popped these up over the base image. Added the diamond stickles. Plus I added the palm tree in the corner. Glued on the sea shells. Sentiment was stamped onto vellum and coloured. Layered over palm tree panel and sewed edges.

Thank you Sew Much

I made this card a few months ago and am very late in uploading it. I just love this adorable House Mouse image "Sew What" and the sentiment is "Sew Much".

I made this for some challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers . The featured stamper challenge FS259 - Kim (Luv Flowers) had the honor that week. I cased this adorable house mouse card.

I put my card in the Fan Club gallery - Mind your Manners also the Free 4 All challenges - use a heart or two --- I have 6 heart eyelets and also for Mondays Technique challenge - twine - I have used twine to tie on the image - it is wrapped around the main card and tied at the back. Image was coloured with Stampin Up and Tombow markers. Cut out with oval nestability. I left the die on the oval, masked the image and sponged inside the die. Punched holes in the brown nestabilty scalloped sides and attached the heart eyelets.

Masked - Happy Birthday



I just love how this card turned out. I made the black and white background paper. Cut a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch square of white paper. Scored lines every 3/4" on the diagonal. Cut out 3/8" strips of black card stock. On the left lower side I place the black strips just underneath the score lines. Cut off the excess black parts. Matted with 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 black card stock. Sewed edges. For the butterfly - I found the image from the Internet - googled "butterfly" colouring book pages and found one I liked. Printed it out, cut out the butterfly - from the inside of image - to keep the outside section as my mask. Placed the mask over a piece of white card stock. Sponged pretty in pink and riding hood red ink onto butterfly. I used my cloud template to get the scalloped edges on the butterfly to make it more interesting. Stamped on the Artful Asian (Stampin Up) leaves and the butterflies from the Water Colour Mini's (Stampin Up) set. Stamped on the birthday sentiment from Stampin Up's "Well Scripted" set.. Matted with black and stitched edges with the wandering stitch. Used my white gel pen on the leaves and mini butterflies. Pierced holes for the big butterflies flight path. Popped up the image, added the Martha Stewart pearls and Stickles

Welcome Baby "Kortland"



I made this adorable sock monkey card for some family members who just welcomed their precious son in their world. And his baby room is decorated with monkeys. I just had to use this cute Meljen's Designs sock monkey image.

This was also made for a few challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers - the inspiration challenge and ways to use it challenge (colouring). I made the diamond grind background using the Scor Pal. Scored the lines and then ran my yellow ink pad over top of the grid. I really like how this turned out...

Embrace Life

I made this card last week for the Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge - CC359 - Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade and Basic Black. Stamped script background on grey card stock using Going Grey ink. Next I stamped images from the Stampin Up "Embrace Life" set onto textured light grey card stock using Stazon Jet Black ink. Coloured images with Stampin Up and Tombow markers. Made 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" base card. Designer paper is from My Minds Eye - Garden Vignettes. All edges were sponged with Poppy ink and edges stitched. Attached ribbon and bow.

Thinking of you



I made this for a few challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers. For the Queen for the Day challenge - ravengirl (Toni) was passed the crown. I cased this lovely card of Toni's. I used a nestability die shape to make the mask, sponged on Pumpkin Pie and Apricot Appeal, next I stamped Upsy Daisy image using Chocolate Chip ink. Matted with chocolate chip and texture rust cardstock. Made the 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 base card. Ran the white acrylic water colour paper through the Cuttlebug using Polka dot folder. Matted with kraft and rust card stock. Sewed edges of both panels. I made the faux butterfly button. Pierced holes and tied butterfly on with string. Wrapped string around base card 6 times and tied at back of card. Image panel is popped up.

A Heartfelt Thanks

A happy, snowy Wednesday to you. It's been a long time since I have posted anything on my Blog. I thought it was time that I did so. I made this Quilted Heart card for my mother-in-law "Sharron" as a Thank-you to her, for helping me finish my "Tyler Quilt". I have been working on this quilt for over two years now.
The sentiment is from Stampin-Up's "Quilt Quip" set. The faux stitched triangle and squares on the heart quilt are from Clear Dollar Stamps "Build a Quilt" set. I saw this gorgeous Scrap Quilt card by Lisa Lara and I new I wanted to purchase the Build a Quilt set.

I used this weeks colour challenge from Splitcoast Stampers as my colour combination (Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red and neutrals of choice -white, vanilla, brown or black)
