Please come on over to the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge Blog - the very talented Mary has issued our challenge for this week "Song Titles/Lyrics". So make a card or project based on a song title, lyric or album and tell us what song has inspired you.
We also have a sponsor this week
My Creative Classroom is an online arts and crafts learning center. One lucky person will win $25.00 towards a class of their choice.
The song title that inspired my card is "Raindrops keep falling on my head" - you can listen to it here YouTube - BJ Thomas raindrops 70s - .
I stamped this adorable House Mouse image "Special Delivery " (starring Mudpie, Amanda, Maxwell and Monica) using Stazon Black ink onto Strathmore Bristol Vellum card stock and coloured with Prismacolour pencil crayons, gamsol and blending stumps. Clear embossed the raindrops. Matted image with black and sewed around edge. My base card is made from white card stock - card size is 5" x 6 1/2". The layout I used is from Splitcoast Stampers - sketch #SC239. Embossed the green dp with Swiss Dot embossing folder, matted it with black and then Poppy coloured card stock, sewed triple wandering stitch around edges. Attached the three black brads. Cut out two strips of the orange/poppy coloured dp and matted each one with black. Cut out piece of Poppy card stock and punched both vertical edges with Stampin Up scalloped border punch, punched another single black scalloped border and layered it under the left poppy scalloped edge. Used white gel pen to dot each scallop. Made the black Gingham bow, attached the fuzzy green brad in center of bow. Assembled card. Finished the inside of card.
