FS121 - Casing Roxi twice

Congratulations to Roxi on being Featured Stamper #FS121 over at Splitcoast Stampers. She has the most amazing gallery, full of wonderful works of art. She also host the Sketch challenges. There were so many cards in her gallery that I wanted to case, only managed to case two today. My dear Husband (Rob) and I went out for a motorcycle ride - we had the most beautiful, warm sunny day to go for a ride.
Here is the card that I cased of Roxi's - called "Fly Fishing" . Your are to change at least two things. I changed the image, colours, layout and I sewed on my card. The fisherman and fish are from Stampin up - the set is called "On the Fly". The sentiment is from Costco - clear stamps.
I Water coloured the images with Stampin up reinkers. Added the clouds and also the two trees on the left side of the fisherman. These trees are from Victorine Originals. Base card is kraft, next is basic black and the designer paper is from Memory Stor. All edges were sewed. I tore the designer paper to make the waves, added Diamond stickles to give the white caps sparkle.

Above is outside of card.
Below is the inside of card.
Below is the second card of Roxi's that I cased. Her card is called "Sentiment Only".
I changed the sentiment and colours, I sewed on my card and added bling. My sentiment is from a Stampin Up set - "Measure of Life". Designer paper is from Shasha Company. I punched out the butterflies and added mini rhinestones to their bodies. Used EK corner punch in the upper left corner and applied Diamond stickles to the white dots on the dp.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy stamping.

SC230, WT220, Happy Birthday or Bust

Happy sunny Saturday everyone.... I made this card last night but didn't get a chance to upload it. I combined two Splitcoast Stamper challenges, sketch challenge #SC230 and the Ways to Use it Challenge WT220 - Beautiful buttons.

I received this cute Fluffles image from Anne Bradley (aka Dawson on SCS). Image was water coloured with Stampin up reinkers, the balloon, hat and candle wicks were all clear embossed. The chocolate chip card base and the pink pirouette panel were run through the cuttle bug - chocolate chip with swiss dot embossing folder, pink pirouette with heart embossing folder. Sewed edges of dp and sewed on the buttons. Made string for balloon. Stamped candles in pumpkin pie, more mustard and riding hood red. Cut out with oval nestability, matted with scalloped oval. Applied diamond stickles to candle wick and top part of hat.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy stamping.

Enjoy - It's your special Day

Above is hinge card closed.
Below hinge card is open.
Happy Tuesday everyone.
For this card I combined three challenges from Splitcoast Stampers - Colour challenge #CC220 - bashful blue, so saffron and pumpkin pie, Ways to use it challenge #WT219 - stamp it again and the Technique challenge #TLC222 - hinged card. This adorable House Mouse Image is called "In a Nutshell". I stamped image twice on water colour paper in stazon jet black. Water coloured with Stampin Up reinkers. Cut out the mouse and shell. Clear embossed the water on the main image to give it some shine. I used a plain circle nestability to cut out image. Matted with bashful blue and scalloped circle in pumpkin pie. I ran the blue dp through the cuttlebug with divine swirls folder. On the bottom orange panel, I used my Martha Stewart scalloped border punch, once on the Pumpkin pie and once again on the striped dp. I sewed around edges of upper and lower panels. Added diamond stickles to the swirls and the top of the flower. I popped up the flower and mouse head only to give them dimension. Attached the double ribbon, sentiment brad and corduroy hinge brad. Stamped the sentiment in stazon jet black, cut out circle, sponged edges with pumpkin pie. Sentiment is from Scrappy Cats - called birthday wishes.
Thanks for stopping by.

House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge - birthday

Happy Monday everyone. Todays challenge over at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog has been provided by our very own Birthday Girl - Lori Barnett. It was her turn to provide a challenge and seeing as today is her birthday, she felt a birthday theme was the perfect choice. Just make sure you use at least one House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffies image on your project.

I made a tri shutter style card - here is a wonderful tutorial by Bonnie Szwalkiewicz on how to make this fun card. It very easy to make - just takes awhile to decorate.

Above is my tri shutter card closed.

Below is the card open.

I water coloured this adorable Happy Hopper image - called "Bunny Bath". (thanks Pat Smethers for letting me stamp several of these adorable images - I finally purchased my own - which I recieved last week :)

I water coloured the image with Stampin Up reinkers, drew in the floor. I cut out the Bunny, tub and floor. Layered image over the striped dp - it looks like wood paneling. Matted with more mustard and chocolate chip scalloped square nestability. I just love the My Mind's Eye dp - Bloom & Grow line (flowers, dots and stripes) it is my absolute favourite right now. Each panel is matted with chocolate chip and all edges were stitched. I cut out the orange polka dot flowers with a cuttlebug die cut, punched out the flower circles with SU 1/4" circle punch. Attached the flowers with mini copper brads. The little blue flower on the sentiment panel was cut out from dp. Stamped sentiment in chocolate chip ("May every part of your Birthday have happy in it") - Sentiment is from Stampin Up - set is called "Full of Life". I made the little towel for the Bunny to dry off with. Crimped the More Mustard strip, folded over the top, sewed on the ribbon, threaded the brown ribbon through upper part of towel. Attached towel to card with button.

Please make sure to check out the other DT's blogs to see what they have come up with. I hope you will come along and join us in the challenge at House Mouse & Friends.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my little piece of the blogging world.

FS120, TSC0515, Hows's everything on your End ?

Happy Sunday everyone - I cased another card of today's featured stamper on Splitcoast Stampers blog - Mercy (aka mkstampin74) "FS120" - Here is the adorable card I cased "Happiness".

I also combined this card with another challenge - Twisted Sisters Challenge TSC0515 - to case Pat Smethers - here is her card that I cased "McKenzies Pal". I stamped this Charlie Horse image while visiting Pat - earlier this year. Pat also uses the SU Water colour mini's to create the flowers around her images... I love this effect and Pat also loves horses and handsome cowboys :)

I hope I did justice to both of these very, very talented ladies.

Happy stamping... Thanks for stopping by and checking out my little piece of the blogging world.

Hugs..

TLC221, Tri Shutter - Thank You

Happy Tuesday everyone. For this card I used this weeks Splitcoast Stampers technique challenge "TLC221" - Tri Shutter Fold card. For the Tutorial see Bonnie Szwalkiewicz's Blog. I found the fold very easy to do - Bonnie gave wonderful instructions to follow. It was the decorating that took me awhile to do.
I will definetly use this technique again.
The flower is from Stampin Up's "Bloomin Beautiful" set and the sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Full of Life" set. I water coloured the flower twice. Cut out one image and popped up over other. Added Diamond Stickles to flower. Made the vase and tied on the ribbon. The Dp is from Making Memories and is double sided. Sponged dp edges with chocolate chip and matted with pink (Tinted Dawn) card stock. All edges were sewed. Punched out butterflies and darkened edges with Chocolate chip marker. Added the little rhinestone flower on the sentiment panel and to the butterfly bodies. I am very pleased with how this turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my little part of the blogging world.

Hugs
