MMTPT146, Thinking of You
I created this beach scene for the Teapot Tuesday challenge #MMTPT146. I can't get this twang! The music's way to slow. I like what you sang. Let the beach steal the Show.I will be sending this card off to Anthony who is recovering from a serious accident. Anthony loves the beach and music. I hope this card will put a smile on his face.
The lighthouse image is from Stampin Up's - Coast to Coast set and the cowboy him is from Sutter Enterprises - singing cowboy.

Owl be Thinking of You
Happy Tuesday everyone.... I'm a little late uploading my card today - I was babysitting my twin grand babies for about 5 hours. My sister, Valerie-Raye, and I brought the twins back to my house so that their Mommy could catch up on some much deserved sleep.I made this card for the Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT133. Some of us will be sending our cards to Marie - the sister of a SCS/teapotter Philsmom (Fran). Marie is a quadriplegic as a result of progressive MS. We are hoping that our cards will bring a little cheer into her day. Marie loves owls - this was the theme of today's challenge.

Wishing you a speedy recovery - Jess
I'm a little late uploading this card. I made this card for this weeks Teapot Tuesday challenge (#MMTPT117 ) on Splitcoast Stampers for Charlene Merricks (where m & m's gather) step-son Jess. Jess was attacked by a neighbours vicious Dog and now is faced with plastic surgery to repair the damage to his face. I will be sending this off to Jess - wishing him a speedy recovery.Jess is a big Nascar fan and loves Dale Earnhaardt Sr. I don't have any racing card stamps so I went on line and found this colouring page image. I printed the image twice, cut one out and coloured it with markers. Dry embossed the back side of the image on the front portion of the car to give it some dimension. Matted image with black and red cardstock. I created the checkered background by weaving the black strips into the white panel. Matted the checkered panel with red card stock. Stamped sentiment (from Stampin Up's Bird on a Branch set), matted with black card stock. Sewed all panels. Attached the screw brads.

Thinking of You
This is an image of my youngest son "Guy" - he was about 6 years old at the time - we were at a Rodeo in Falkland, British Columbia... he is looking a little sad in this picture..
I made the faux leather background - stamped the paisleys and flowers in versa mark ink onto More Mustard card stock and then clear embossed them.. Next I overstamped the whole panel in versamark ink and clear embossed again. Base card is Barely Banana, next is black and then the faux leather panel.. Matted the image with black - all edges were distressed and sewed. I stamped the sentiment, cut it out and clear embossed it. Assembled card. Cut a strip of black leather and attached Armadillo concho and the two silver brads. Finished inside of card.
Enjoy you day in the spotlight Pat Smethers...

I stamped the white bg panel with the Sanded and Canvas backgrounder stamps in chocolate chip. The old olive leaves were randomly stamped and the edges were sponged with chocolate chip. Matted the panel with chocolate chip and sewed around card. The tree image was stamped in Stazon timber brown and water coloured with Stampin Up reinkers. Sponged edges and matted image. Stamped leaves onto the old olive strip. Punched out scalloped strip. Sewed all edges. Stamped on sentiment (from Bird on a Branch) in chocolate chip, attached the three corner brads.

I coloured the teapots with markers. Matted the panels with pink and blue and then black. Sewed all edges. Coloured an extra panel and cut off the three teapots for my sentiment tag. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps - Everyday Jar-gon set. Used a large scalloped border punch for the bottom edge of base card.Sunday, March 7, 2010

Thinking of You - CAS
I inked up my Paisley embossing folder with whisper white in, then put the creamy caramel panel in the folder - ran through the cuttlebug. Note: I only ran part of the panel through the bug - left the bottom portion blank - to stamp my sentiment on. Matted panel with chocolate chip. Punched a strip of chocolate chip with my Stampin Up scalloped border punch. Attached the brown gingham ribbon. Sewed edges with brown thread. Pierced holes in the scallops. Stamped on my sentiment (Fiskars - Just Between Friends) - pierced the two lines in front of the sentiment. Made my bow and star button embellishment. Attached bow to card. Popped up panel over top of Creamy Caramel base card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
