MMTPT156, Home Sweet Home

Hello, it's been a while since I have posted on my blog. Life has been very busy these days, but I wanted to share this sweet House Mouse card with you. I made it for a challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers - Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT156. This card will be sent to one of the teapotters - for the last challenge of the month our cards get sent to another SCS teapotter participant. I purchased this House Mouse stamp at a garage sale last year - it is the first time I have inked it up - I love how it turned out - and will be making more of these cards. It is a fairly large stamp, and has a lot going on - so I didn't want to use any busy background papers. I cut out the image with the largest of this nesty shape and coloured the edges of the die cut with a dark brown marker. Image was coloured with Tombow and Stampin Up markers. Added stickles to the lollie pops and gumdrops. Applied liquid pearls to the frosting. Added the ribbon tabs at the top and I cut a bamboo skewer for the wall hanging rod. I love how this turned out.

Thanks for stopping by,

Happy stamping and creating,

Hugs Pat

MMTPT146, Thinking of You

I created this beach scene for the Teapot Tuesday challenge #MMTPT146. I can't get this twang! The music's way to slow. I like what you sang. Let the beach steal the Show.

I will be sending this card off to Anthony who is recovering from a serious accident. Anthony loves the beach and music. I hope this card will put a smile on his face.

The lighthouse image is from Stampin Up's - Coast to Coast set and the cowboy him is from Sutter Enterprises - singing cowboy.

Smile - it's a beautiful Thing

I absolutely love this "Mother Teresa" quote. I used the quote as my focal point on my cards.
The Free 4 All challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers was to do just that - use the sentiment as the focal point. The technique challenge was to make Paper Buttons (faux buttons) which I used on both of my cards and the Clean and Simple challenge was "a Gift" - as Mother Teresa said - a smile is a gift of LOVE.

Hugs... Pat

Vintage Truck on Route 66

Happy Sunday every... Here is a card I made earlier in the week for Mothermarks Teapot Tuesday challenge - "Are you outta your gourd - I ordered a Ford".

Our destination for our cards this week is Brampton, Ontario - to "Kim" - he is the cousin of fellow Splitcoast Stamper - teapotter "Laurie" (Virigo05) - he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer which has spread to his bones and he is only 41 years old. We are hoping our cards will bring a little joy to him. He loves Fords, hockey, football, steaks etc.

As I work at a Ford dealership (Steve Marshall Ford) and Kim is the chairman of Local 584 at the Ford Company I just had to bring Kim a vintage Ford truck. While driving along Route 66 my DH and I stopped at Hackberry General Store and saw this vintage truck parked in front of an old garage. I tried to recreate this scene but omitted all the signs from the garage so that the old truck would stand out. I hand drew the garage and I quite pleased with how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Stamping and Creating,
