Happy 60th Birthday Ritchie - Live to Ride
Here is a fun birthday card I made for a friend who is turning 60 this week. My dear husband and I mountain bike with Ritchie... We have gone on several road trips to Utah and Nevada to ride. Ritchie is one of the fastest and in shape riders in our group - no one would believe that he is going to be 60 years old. I just had to make a funny card for him - I made it as though he is riding his "Tricycle" in the forest --- I hope he will get a laugh from this card... :)Connie Jones (aka stamp300) over at Splitcoast Stampers was crowned Queen for the Day
last Friday... I cased this "Live to Ride" card of Connies.
The image I used is from Bugaboo Stamps - Gus Birthday and I coloured it using Tombow Markers.

Bugaboo birthday cards
Hello everyone... I just had to share this adorable picture of my granddaughters Nico and Kayla. I was looking after them earlier in the week and when they visit with me they always want to make cards... I wonder why :)Their Papa Ricards birthday was the next day - so that is what we made - funny birthday cards for their Papa. The images are from Bugaboo Stamps - Birthday Gus.
The girls coloured their images using my Tombow Markers. Next they chose their papers. I helped them with the sewing on their cards.
Their Papa was so very happy to receive these from the girls.

Wrap It Up - Stampalicious Style
Here is my take on the challenge. I wrapped up a tin of yummy English Toffee Cappuchinno hot beverage drink mix. The image and sentiment are from the "Attitude Ruby" set - a newly released stamp set in the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line.
I stamped the image using Versafine onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured image with Tombow Markers. Made it into a tag. Punched out the flowers using a Sizzex flower die, embossed the flowers with Swiss Dot EF. Stamped the sentiment and punched it out. Glued it to the flower center.

Stampalicious texture challenge
It's time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge... this week we have been challenged to use at least two different textures on our card or projects. You can add textures in many different ways, dry or heat embossing, glitter, fabric, ribbon, cork, flower soft, fun flock, wood - the possibilities are endless.
I made two cards for this challenge - For my first card I used this adorable little girl image from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line - "Sweet Birthday Kids" set. As you can see I have lots of texture on this card - sewing, embossing, ribbon, textured paper and buttons. I water coloured the little girl image with Tombow Markers.
I combined the first card with a few Splitcoast Stamper challenges. Queen for the Day #QFTD23 (Princessheather), Featured Stamper FS185 (Princessheather), Free 4 all Fridays F4A26 - mix/mash it up - use stamps from differernt stamp sets, Ways to use it WT284 - use Versamark ink and WT284 - use buttons. Here is the adorable card of Heather's that I cased.
For my second card I used "Sean with Flower" from the Totally Stampalicious Bugaboo Line. For texture I have the flower soft grass, sewing and the little flower he is holding has a brad and crystal effects on it. The edges have been distressed and sponged. I coloured this image with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. Sean and the sentiment have been popped up. I used the "Faux Brick Wall" technique for the background panel.Wednesday, August 11, 2010
STAMPALICIOUS ONE LAYER CHALLENGE
We were challenge to make a single layer card - most of us believe this is one of the toughest challenges... I very rarely make a single layered card - I love, love, love lots of layers on my cards.
The card itself must be one layer and you may use one or two small embellishments, such as a ribbon, brad or a flower.
I used the little boy and sentiment from the "Sweet Birthday Kids" set. I dry embossed the rectangle frame using a Nestability die. Stamped the image with Versafine Onyx black ink and clear embossed. Water coloured the image with Stampin Up reinkers and Tombow markers. Sponged on the blue background. Masked the image and stamped the Stampin Up Canvas background in Close to Cocoa. Stamped on the sentiment. Used Martha Stewart scalloped border punch on the bottom edge. Sponged all edges with Close to Cocoa. Attached ribbon and sewed outside edge of card and around image rectangle. Added Crystal Effects to the cherry.
I hope you will join us over at Totally Stampalicous - make sure to check out what the DT have come up with to inspire you.
