Women are like RIBBON

My card for today's Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT139 - Oh my gosha, Sasha! A proposal from McTibbons is contingent upon RIBBONS. Our card destination this week is to Ashley - who lost most of her scrap-booking and stamping supplies to a flood - the water completely flooded her basement right up to the roof. I stamped this funny Art Impressions image at my dear friend - Pat Smethers while visiting her in California last month. I stamped the sentiment there as well - it originally said "Women are like buttons, they hold things together" - I replaced the word "buttons" with ribbon to go with the teapot party theme. Image was coloured with Tombow markers. Designer papers from Recollections and American Crafts. Thanks for stopping by, Hugs. Pat

Oh Happy Day - Queen Karen

I made this card yesterday for three challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers. Queen for the Day - QFTD53 - Karen Dunbrook was given the crown. Here is Karen's card that inspired me - WT289 - Giving Thanks. The technique challenge TLC318 - Follow the edge - to cut around part of the image and the Clean and Simple challenge CAS112- cut up the sentiment. I painted the flower image using acrylic paints on acrylic water colour paper. Stamped the sentiment - from Fiskars - just between friends - set. Used the Fiskars grass border punch. Hugs.. Pat

Best Friends Forever

Happy Tuesday.... Here is a cute card I made today - it is for three challenges. Totally Stampalicious's challenge this week is to make a card or project for that extra special friend in our life (your cat, dog, sibling, spouse can count as your BFF). I used the sketch layout from Crazy 4 Challenges C4C80. Plus I used this weeks Splitcoast Stampers colour challenge CC316 - Marina Mist, Certainly Celery and Baja Breeze. The cute image is from Totally Stampalicious - Best Bud Brats in their Bugaboo Line. Image was coloured with Stampin Up and Tombow Markers. The sentiment is from Studio G, designer paper from DCWV. Card stock from Stampin Up. Thanks for stopping by, Happy Stamping and Creating, Hugs.. Pat

Bloom where you're Planted

Hello everyone.... I made this card for a few challenges - Splitcoast Stampers featured stamper, sketch #325 and Free 4 All F4A57 (hello sunshine). Elaine Hughes (aka Quixotic) has the honor this week. She has a most fabulous gallery full of beautiful works of art. I cased this adorable Magnolia card called "Tilda - Mon Amie".

I coloured the Magnolia stamp image "Tilda with Sunflower" with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I was happy to use up some very old designer papers and a chipboard sentiment that I have had in my stash for ages.

The Free 4 All challenge was to be inspired by the sun. Well sunflowers need sun to grow and they are one of my favourite flowers.

Thanks for stopping in,

Hugs.... Pat

Vintage Truck on Route 66

Happy Sunday every... Here is a card I made earlier in the week for Mothermarks Teapot Tuesday challenge - "Are you outta your gourd - I ordered a Ford".

Our destination for our cards this week is Brampton, Ontario - to "Kim" - he is the cousin of fellow Splitcoast Stamper - teapotter "Laurie" (Virigo05) - he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer which has spread to his bones and he is only 41 years old. We are hoping our cards will bring a little joy to him. He loves Fords, hockey, football, steaks etc.

As I work at a Ford dealership (Steve Marshall Ford) and Kim is the chairman of Local 584 at the Ford Company I just had to bring Kim a vintage Ford truck. While driving along Route 66 my DH and I stopped at Hackberry General Store and saw this vintage truck parked in front of an old garage. I tried to recreate this scene but omitted all the signs from the garage so that the old truck would stand out. I hand drew the garage and I quite pleased with how it turned out.

Happy 60th Birthday Ritchie - Live to Ride

Here is a fun birthday card I made for a friend who is turning 60 this week. My dear husband and I mountain bike with Ritchie... We have gone on several road trips to Utah and Nevada to ride. Ritchie is one of the fastest and in shape riders in our group - no one would believe that he is going to be 60 years old. I just had to make a funny card for him - I made it as though he is riding his "Tricycle" in the forest --- I hope he will get a laugh from this card... :)

Connie Jones (aka stamp300) over at Splitcoast Stampers was crowned Queen for the Day
last Friday... I cased this "Live to Ride" card of Connies.

The image I used is from Bugaboo Stamps - Gus Birthday and I coloured it using Tombow Markers.

FS215, Happy Easter

I made this card yesterday for Splitcoast Stampers featured stamper challenge FS215.
Mary Beth (aka mbrcutie25) has a lovely gallery. I chose this "Party Chick" card to case. It is also for the Ways to Use it challenge WT214 - "Smile" - my little wooden bunny has a great big smile on his face.

I used this adorable House Mouse Rubber stamp image "This egg's for you". I coloured the image with prisma colour pencil crayons and gamsol. I used the Fiskars grass border punch for the grass at the bottom of the circle. I love this polka dot designer paper from DCWV.

Thanks for looking,
Happy stamping and creating,

Bugaboo birthday cards

Hello everyone... I just had to share this adorable picture of my granddaughters Nico and Kayla. I was looking after them earlier in the week and when they visit with me they always want to make cards... I wonder why :)

Their Papa Ricards birthday was the next day - so that is what we made - funny birthday cards for their Papa. The images are from Bugaboo Stamps - Birthday Gus.

The girls coloured their images using my Tombow Markers. Next they chose their papers. I helped them with the sewing on their cards.

Their Papa was so very happy to receive these from the girls.

Hugs... Pat

MMTPT137 - For Haeli

I'm late uploading my card... I made this card for Haeli, a young girl in 6th grade who is undergoing chemotherapy for Ovarian Cancer... How sad that a young girl has to go through this.
I used several challenges for Splitcoast Stampers - last weeks sketch challenge, this weeks colour challenge (soft suede, baja breeze, crumb cake and neutrals of choice). The ways to use it challenges was to use felt on your card - My brads are felted. Here is the link to our Teapot Challenge #MMTPT137.

Below is the inside of my card. All images and the sentiment are from My Heart Stamps for you - sheet 150.
Thanks for stopping by, Happy stamping and creating,

Hugs... Pat

Twisted sisters and Gramma Pat's

Woo Hoo..... my dear Hubby, Rob, and I stopped in to visit Pat and Bubba Smethers on our Holidays. We had a most wonderful visit with them - Rob and Bubba had a great time - they have a lot in common - so had lots to talk about. Pat and I - stamped and talked about our families and new grandchildren. Rob and I visited Pat and Bubba two years ago and hit it off so well = we feel just like family - right, Sistah...

Pat told me about the next Twisted sisters challenge - it was to use chickens on your card. This is what I made while visiting with Pat. Don't you just love this fun chicken image. I call it
"What's Brooding?

I don't have an attitude problem

I made this card last month, but never uploaded it. It was for Mothermark's teapot challenge MMTPT134 and Splitcoast stampers colour challenge #CC311 (perfect plum, rose red and always artichoke). Image is from Totally Stampalicious (Bugaboo line) called Attitude Ruby.
